Leifheit Varioline M Standing Laundry Drying Rack, 15 m Space

Leifheit is a well known brand in the housework and laundry sector and they’ve achieved this by producing quality products. The days of having a drying “frame” like this with plastic clothes line threaded between the sections is over. It’s all individual spokes now. Personally we’ve been using a Leifheit dryer for years. Instead of a whirly or clothes line in the garden we opted for a dryer that wouldn’t rust and could be collapsed easily. The trouble with using one outdoors is that you need to stabilise it and we use a combination of wood and breeze blocks on the lower cross members to do this. It can stay out in all weathers because it’s rust free and we just take it down for the winter.I was sent the Leifheit Pegasus 150 Slim Clothes Airer, 15 m to review and as a user already (of a different model) I thought it would be good to compare them. For a start there is a lot of drying space – 48 feet in all – and the height of the dryer (over a metre) is a major factor when you want to hang out trousers or leggings (or towels). You may need to increase this slightly if you have long legged items and you can do this by standing the unit on something solid. With our one outdoors we use a couple of layers of bricks under the lower cross members (hence the need for the wood and breeze block stabiliser system). There is a novel idea of having clips on one side to hang things like socks or handkerchiefs to and the whole unit is slim enough to be carried through a standard sized doorway fully loaded. Mind you, that’s a trick in itself and it needs two very stable people, but if you have this outside and there’s a sudden shower it’s a great bonus.This is a great unit for homes where there’s no outside drying facilities, for winter use in every home and especially useful for those with caravans or mobile homes. This is also useful for storing things on to air after ironing (bedding, T Shirts etc). I like the rust free aspect, which I assume is because all metal parts are plastic coated, and it’s certainly robust and strong. Storing it is easy. It folds simply and can stand flat against a wall or in a cupboard. It comes with a three year guarantee which is great (and a novelty in this day and age) and I couldn’t fault the product in any way.

Unlike my previous airer this is sturdy, holds a lot of washing. Is easy to move from indoors to outside.Very pleased with this.

Had this for quite a few years, what a fantastic buy. It light but really sturdy. It folds really compact and is easy to store yet once it's fully opened it provides loads of drying space. Even possible to dry bedding. The side rail sock clips are ingenious. Even had positive comments from the mother in law. Highly recommended

This is a reasonably compact dryer that holds a fair amount of washing; being plastic the good thing about it is that it is lightweight and will not rust. Compared with telescopic type dryers it is far superior in terms of what you can hang on it. However, there are a couple of things that prevent me from awarding a 5 star classification. I also have one of these continental style dryers in metal and the only thing I prefer about it is that the fold out end portions have a round exterior rod, like the sides, rather than the plastic rope type ones. This means that it is much easier to have another two areas where you can hang non iron clothes without incurring drying line marks across the garment.The dryer folds out easily but if it is full of washing and you need to physically lift it on your own, the legs are inclined not to remain fully extended. If its just a case of dragging it to a new position then it slides effortlessly and the legs are no problem. I tend to put it outside on the terrace and have come unstuck when a sudden shower has sent me rushing to take it in. To be fair, this might be because I have to take it through a fairly narrow porch. All in all its a good buy and I would certainly have no hesitation in buying another.

The best reviews are not the ones that say great delivery or when a product has just been unboxed. Buying these kind of utilitarian items is tedious but they're items we use everyday and so it's worth buying products that will last and make daily chores a bit easier. The reviews really helped me choose this. I have wasted my money on various airers over the years. I have had this product now for over two years and it has been hammered by constant use. It's very well made, really simply but effectively designed - unlike those flimsy ones that collapse on you sending an avalanche of washing to the floor or wooden ones which stain clothes. It will handle a big load of washing. It will also fold flat for easy storage. Superb.

Who knew you could get excited by a clothes line....I ordered this on impulse during one of the lightening deals and I don't think my darling wife has ever been so pleased with one of my many and frequent Amazon purchases.This dryer has been excellent in the 6 months since we've had it. It's sturdy and stores and huge amount of washing. Unlike many other dryers, especially the tall, cross designed ones, this feels really solid and well made. It's got an air of solidity and quality I haven't seen before and hopefully this will outlast the previous types I have tried which often seem to break inside a year.Works well inside and is just about portable enough to lug it through the house and use outdoors too.

We have had this airer for over 6 years and it is in constant use. It holds 1-2 large loads of washing comfortably and the sock holders are really useful for small items. Laundry baskets fit comfortably underneath. Easy to fold and move around (as long as you remember to extend the legs fully when unfolding). Sturdy and still as good as new.Really practical for family laundry.

Très bonne contenance (j ai encore de la place après avoir étendu une machine complète). Très bon rapport qualité-prix. Je recommande vivement ce produit.
