Satori New Animaris Suspension Seat Post 350MM X 27.2MM or 31.6MM Black

This is an excellent well made piece of kit. 5 Stars all the way. I do have one minor niggle, there are absolutely no instructions. It's not rocket science but I did put it on backwards the first time (Doh!).I did find it a bit fiddly to fit the saddle on. The saddle under bars were slightly too close together and a few whacks from a hammer to get the centre piece in between them were required. After that it was very simple. From the ring below the spring to the top of the saddle mount is 5 inches so make sure your current saddle is at least five inches above the post hole. In my case it was about 4 and 3/4 inches but I got used to the extra 1/4 inch in about 5 minutes.The ride is good. I'm about 110kg and the ride is firm enough to not bottom out whilst giving plenty of spring. It arrives on the softest setting and I've left it there. I could see some one light (55kg to 65kg) finding this a bit firm for road use. If I was going off road I'd need to adjust it to be a bit firmer.This is my first suspension seat post so I hope this review makes sense.UPDATEWell I do look a fool. The post is not too firm, it is about right bordering on soft. What was happening was that when I sat on the saddle the spring bottomed out, thus giving the appearance of being a bit hard. When I went over a bump it seemed hard but the spring could come up a bit giving the illusion of working. Now I've screwed it down to make it firmer it no longer bottoms out and works fine. Definitely 5 stars but I rue the lack of instructions even more now.

Brilliant once I got the spring settings right. At first I thought I was on a fairground ride or had been transported back to my fave 1970s toy... a bright orange space hopper! But no. It’s all about the adjustment so persevere for best results. One small thing. The spring mech takes up 125mm of space between the seat post top and underside of seat so make sure this works for you. But apart from that it’s like riding on a bed of air for which my bum is truly grateful!!!

it does the job.it makes this squeeky noise like a little donkey "i oo i ooo" - plastic rubbing on metal - design flaw ?

Solid piece of kit on first impressions. Easy to install (make sure you order the right width or purchase shims) Going for my first 20 mile cycle tomorrow so if I don’t update this you know it will be staying at 5 stars

Half the price of a Thudbuster, worksvthe same way. Quite firm but takes the edge off stutter bumps and bigger hits. Seat tube could be longer - I bought 350mm version - only just long enough on my bike, so check your seat tube length before buying.

So far so good fits like a glove and is super soft on the backside with a proper saddle fitted would highly recommend this unit over all others as the build quality is superior along with the design which no doubt will stand in good stead over the duration unlike other brands which don't cut the mustard as they chaffe the joints or become sticky in motion rather quickly
