Remote Control Security Lock

I bought two of these for an elderly relative who wanders off with whatever she has in her hand. We attached them to her end table. These hold very tightly but you could pry them off and use new double sided sticky pads if you need to move them. I ordered two of these and I wish I had done it long ago to save myself the work of going through her home searching for the remotes. Update 12/9/16 The originals are still working fine. I bought another one to secure her pill dispensing machine to the top of her kitchen counter. These things have many uses.

Best investment ever! I have 5 kids and my remote would always go missing. I had bought velcro Rummermaid items before that would always fall off. This actually works! It is amazing. Now I always have my remote. I was even thinking about getting more, for the hair brushes lol.

Works well, but ensure that the adhesive pads are located on a perfectly smooth surface, otherwise the bond is nowhere near strong enough to keep in place, especially if you are using the built in velcro pads to secure the remote to your machine. The velcro is pretty strong and when I didn't have it on the flattest part of the remote (approx 80% contact), removing and replacing the remote via the velcro pulled the whole thing off. No problem after correctly locating the adhesive pad. Would have liked at least one spare adhesive pad in the pack for these issues

I got this for my 96 year old dad who kept misplacing his TV remote. It was easy to install on the underside of a bedside table and now he never loses the remote.

I bought this for my elderly mom who has dementia. She kept losing her remote and then would get so stressed about it. We put this on to her nightstand and the other end on to the remote. Problem solved! She knows where her remote is every time. She cannot hide it or lose it anymore. What a relief for us all! Thank you for such a simple, but wonderful product!!

Mom's in assisted living and kept losing the remote to her TV. So as I bought two new universal remotes, I started looking for a tether device that I could attach to her bed and this was perfect. The cable reaches 6-8 feet without recoiling so she can keep it on her bedside table or pull the cable to find the remote. We used velcro pads to attach to the bed and the remote rather than the glue pads that are part of the product. We attached another tether to a second remote attached to the TV. Perfect solution!

Base on the coiled cord is large and awkward (both ends have a "brick" on them), undoubtedly to make it harder to pull apart - but makes any remote a bit wonky after installing. Also requires more space, so if your remote normally fits into a cubby or holder, it likely will not fit after adding this cable.Does the job though, keeps our equipment remotes at work attached to the gear they need to and prevents loss of the remotes.

I was reluctant to purchase this item due to the bad reviews. However, I did because I needed it stat!I cleaned an area of a small glass shelf that came with a TV wall Mount and cleaned the remote with the included wipe. I waited about 30+ minutes before removing the adhesive and securing the item to the shelf and the remote. The remote is curved, so only the top and bottom portion are in contact with the remote, however it appears to have a strong hold. It’s been about a week and it’s still holding strong.
