Surprised at how well it works
Update: after having Deebot for a week, we woke up to her MIA. It had turned on randomly in the middle of the night and ended up behind the couch. The next day it got under the bed and was stuck. And again the next day it completely lost function, and wouldn’t go more than 1 foot without quitting. But, I will leave my 5 stars as customer service was incredible and deebot worked fine other than a random malfunction. From start (making the call) to finish (shipping deebot back) it was an hour tops. They shipped it back for free and are sending me a replacement. So although the first one didn’t workout, the customer care and ease of the exchange process was worth 5 stars.I was apprehensive buying a refurbished item as I’ve not had good experiences with them before (TVs and other electronics). But I decided to take the plunge and give the refurbished bot a chance. I’m expecting my second child and cleaning has unfortunately been put on the back burner as I deal with sickness and exhaustion and will only become harder as we go along. I typically vacuum my floor once a day or at least every other day as we have dogs and they SHED. So here I sit watching the vacuum scurry around the house and I have to say, I am impressed so far. Our house has some odd corners but there hasn’t been any trouble so far. Little bot did get stuck under the recliner and turned on our Christmas tree when it rolled over the cord (I didn’t think it would make it back in that corner or I would have picked it up.) I have emptied out the canister one time so far and it was pretty full, so I know it’s working! It did not have any issues going from hardwood to low area rugs and has rolled over air vents and the Christmas tree legs just fine! It operates quietly but not so quiet that I don’t know where it is. It’s not really important to me but may be to someone else, the bot came in original packaging and looked brand new, still had the protective cling wrap on the top of the vacuum and all accessories and manual were sealed in their original packaging. I would also like to add in that most of the complaints (if not an actual mechanical product defect) customers have could have been solved by actually opening the owners manual.TL/DR : great vacuum, original packaging, sensor bar works just fine and is large (1/2 of bot), runs quietly and efficiently, no trouble so far. Read the manual and description fully.ETA: when sending deebot back to the charging dock, you should push the pause button and then home, otherwise it doesn’t go back home. And vacuum ran for nearly 2 hours before I finally turned it off. I was impressed with the way it cleaned the floors. I will have to use my Shark on the bigger carpets but that’s fine by me. It cleaned the small rugs in front of the doors perfectly.

Bought this as a refurb and am very happy with purchase
-Unit shipped as if it was shipped new from Deebot.-Wasn't missing anything-Came with extras such as filter, cleaning tools and rotary bristles.-If you follow the instructions that come with the unit you will not have any problems with it. Some peoples reviews on this unit are just ridiculous. These units are not designed for deep cleaning, only for cleaning surface debris to make your floors look clean and reduce constant sweeping or vacuuming. Yes you will need to still vacuum just not as often for a deep clean.-This unit is not like the i-robot models that map your rooms. It has sensors that feed info back to it to avoid drop offs and bumping into things. It will occasionally bump into things and will get stuck in spots that have over hangs, this is where you would need to provide a bump stop enough to stop the unit from getting stuck and stopping.--You also need to keep things in general off your floors like cords, use common sense. If you want the whole floor cleaned it would help to keep areas you want cleaned clear.-We have a second floor and I do use this upstairs, I have yet to see this thing fall down the stairs and We have been using it for months now.-If you follow the guidelines provided in the instructions this thing will do it's job well and for $100 you can't beat that. Or floors now stay clean and feel clean if walking with bare feet. The battery life is better than expected and it picks up hair very well. Great investment.Update: 3 months after purchase the unit would no longer charge showing red solid light. I got it working again by removing the battery and plugging it back in and it started to charge and work normally again for a couple days. After that can't get it to power on anymore. Suspect bad control board . I no longer recommend this unit. It seems in this market even though expensive IRobot is king because they last and are dependable. I got a refund on mine and bought an IRobot.

Great budget vacuum!
Not sure about the negative reviews, maybe user error or expectations too high.It does what it does: turns on, roams around the room, vacuums. I have it set up to roam at noon. It does my bedroom mainly, and returns to the dock. I come home from work and empty the dust container. If I'm home, I also let it do the living room (there's a 2 inch step between the living and bedroom, and the robot can come down, but can't get back up. Will be adding a ramp later.)Suction is good, the movement is good, doesn't bump into things too much. Doesn't drag carpet. The first time I ran it, it collected so much stuff, I was amazed and disgusted. Remote works great. It finds the dock on its own, even if it takes it a couple tries. Fairly quiet compared to the competition. For the price I paid, $80, it was a steal.
