I bought this SSD for a fast external enclosure to use with my VMs and AI models. It works great, speed is quite good, and in fact basically maxes out the high speed port on my Mac Mini. It gets warm in the enclosure, but they all do, and I have not noticed any thermal throttling. Overall, at this price in this market, I am very pleased with this unit.

I was beyond lucky to purchase this before the inflation of PC parts skyrocketed. It's been an amazing addition to my setup, and 2TB is enough to store my main games/OS. I've previously purchased another Samsung SSD, and I've always been pretty happy with their performance, and they've never caused me issues so far. Everything runs speedy, and NVMEs are always so much nicer to install compared to all other storage methods. If I ever need to purchase another SSD, I will unfortunately have to pay double than what I originally paid, as Samsung has earned my business when it comes to SSDs.

Bought this at $175 thinking it was expensive and today this is selling for $400 lol. Still is the best NVME drive I have bought in terms of speed and hopefully a very long term reliability until the Ai Bubble pops. The current price is absolutely nuts. If you can hold out, I recommend to wait until the prices for these collapse back.

Extremely fast and reliable. Perfect product. I Have been using it for more than 6 months. It needs proper cooling though, so if you plan to use it as an external SSD, a case without a fan is not enough. I bought an Acasis case with an active fan and it now runs perfectly fine.
