Excellent company to deal with.Had a defective feeder did everything in their power to fix. Feeder was replaced with another. Great people to deal with, I highly recommend the feeder

I bought 3 of these and had high hopes for them given the other reviews. The first one worked fine once I got the batteries in it. The second one I took out of the box and the plate that spins around was loose in the box. As you can see in the picture the head of the bolt is stripped. Looks like they just gave up at that point and shipped it. I unboxed the third one and it seemed okay until I went to put batteries in and discovered the metal pad and coil have fallen out the bottom. I was able to fix all these issues but its annoying considering they are brand new. To add insult to injury they also include a small card saying that there has been a quality inspection done on each unit. Stevie Wonder must do those.Functionally they all see to work well once they are repaired. My biggest concern is the placement of the batteries. The door for the batteries is under the unit so if you want to replace them you'll need to dismount whatever you have this attached too and then load the batteries. That is a pain if it's full of grain or chicken food. Also there is no weather stripping on the case and there is a circuit board inside so I'm planning on these lasting about as long as you can imagine a circuit board will last outside in the elements.

I had a cheaper, different feeder set up until my cow got in and broke it. I found this particular one and decided to give it a go for the price. My husband liked that the programming is on the side vs the bottom like the old one. It took some time to figure out the programming, as we set it for two times a day. I am in love with this products functionality all the way around. I love the digital programming, it’s much cheaper than the Walmart option I did have The battery life seems great, although it’s only been set up a short time. It was a bit bigger than the old, but with a few tweaks to my feeder it fit great. The quality is much better than the 1 I had before. I highly recommend

Nice but a little confusing on setting the feeding times on the clock

Get two 5 gallon buckets. Mount this feeder on the bottom of one bucket after you cut the mounting hole. Cut the bottom entirely from the second bucket. Slip first bucket with feeder assembly inside second bucket with bottom cut out... BAM! You now have a feeder with a SHIELD for smaller area's.

I have had raccoons hanging off of itIt’s still working

When I received the feeder instalation was straight forward. 5 minutes I had holes drilled and mounted. Read included instructions set clock and feeder times all relatively straight forward. Pressed up and down buttons simultaneously as instructed to test manual mode. Readout went to ON but nothing moved. Tried several times nothing. Wrote email told them to send another. Frustrated that a new item wouldn't work i decided to remove cover to see if there was a loose wire or something obvious. Nope everything looked OK connections soldered no burning smell. But wait what's this looking very closely it looked like the motor assembly was about 1/8th of an inch protruding from housing, a slight push and snap seated securely. Reassemble push buttons and voila back in operation. Now I have to deal with the return process as UPS is a long way from here. The one star rating is due to the fact i had to fix and return. I will revisit after a month as far as operation goes.
