Pewter Plus: Create Over 30 Stylish Projects Using Pewter Plus Copper, Tin, Gold-Leaf and Other Metallics

I've been experimenting with Repousse for a wee while on copper and aluminium and have been wanting to try pewter. In being self taught through experimenting, there have still been some areas where I have thought 'there must be some simple trick to this'...for example the difficulty of using metal tools on metal and having it not glide smoothly...and I had to laugh and smile when I read Sandy's simple suggestion of using an oil based product for the tools to glide over the metal. I appreciated that I was able to read bits of her book in the 'Look Inside' feature. That little snippet answered my questions so really could have gotten away with not buying the book...however, I thought she has shared so much in these few pages, I am curious about the rest of the book...and it has been money very well spent. Sandy breaks it down in the simplest of ways and makes Repousse very accessible for anyone! I see where I have been doing things right, some wrong and how I can do some things even better. This is a MUST HAVE book for anyone looking to try their hand at repousse!!!

I have recently had my first experience with pewter work and wanted to get a book with some interesting tasks. This book shows step by step how to do tasks and has tasks of varying levels for beginners - experienced pewter buffs. Great value for money.

I have just started to work with pewter and found this book very useful. Well written and illustrated. Would recommend. There is a dvd but not available at the moment seemingly. The author is from South Africa where pewter work is very popular.Hazel.

well explained projects, good pictures and tips, overall a very instructive collection of projects. A beginner could well take on a new hobby with confidence using this as a starting point. Can't wait to give it a try myself, good book to have in the studio maybe to add a new dimension to an existing crafty pursuit. recommended

For the absolute beginner in Pewter work (me) this book is perfect.Easy to understand instructions - written in English (not pewter-speak)with achievable goals leave one eager for more, bigger projects - inother words, everything a how-to book should be.
