Apple likes to talk about their “environment” where everyone and everything plays nice together! Well, for many things that may be true, but not when you’re dealing with charging cables. You can literally spend two to three thousand dollars on a device, and Apple “generously” includes a 3’ charging cable (which is pretty much useless unless the device sits on a counter with a plug directly above. Then, as if to add insult to injury, the lightning cable is designed with a very small connector, which means if you’re distracted, in a hurry, or if your hand is wet, you’ll likely end up pulling on the wire instead of the connector. Then, (sooner rather than later) the cord will fail. Oh, but Apple to the rescue...they’ll gladly sell you a replacement 3’ cable for $34.00, so the same thing can happen again!You might say, just purchase an after-market cable and move on. We have, usually with poor result. Cables from big box stores, and even Amazon Basics brand may work for a while, but typically stop charging all together (even those supposedly “Apple Certified”). Quite frustrating for something that should be inherently simple, and is definitely necessary in our digital world.Enter Anker cables. There was an opportunity to really make a difference, and Anker stood up (literally, and figuratively). We’ve only had our Anker 6’ cable for about a week, but so far we’re most pleased. The cable seems more pliant, and the multi-layer sheathing looks like it will be very protective. The cable connector is not only much more robust, but physically larger, which makes it easier to grasp properly. No problems with our device messaging it’s “not the proper cable either”. iPad/iPhone charging times have been very good!Time will tell if this experience lasts, but for now this “simple” product seems to be exactly what we need! Oh BTW, to date Anker has been very good about communicating, while offering what seems to be exemplary customer service, and product warranties. Bravo Anker. Do something, and do it well! Help make the Apple environment better, and easier. Are you listening Apple?

I bought this thinking that Anker made durable and long lasting products. I have used their cables before and never had any issues. I went to plug in my charger and the tip that goes into my phone completely snapped off! Very disappointed and I have never seen this happen on an Anker chord

Hasn't broken down in over a month of use and has enabled me to never be without the bluish glow of a phone screen lighting up my dull life. I can now lay in bed 6 ft away from the power jack and mindlessly scroll through photos of inane people I don't know on social media while battling pangs of existential dread , envy and the crushing weight of time wasted, uninterrupted. Game changer.

After more than 1 year of use and a number of 2 ft falls onto a carpet, this cord is holding up well. The older(?) AmazonBasics small white vinyl-coated cords would only last a short time. The vinyl coating would soon crack where the cord comes out of the Lightning connector, exposing the internal wires. By the time this showed up, the cord developed an intermittent connection at this point and then a continuous open circuit.This cord is 4mm diameter, braided, less flexible, and has a stiff strain relief coming out of the connector. It is a much better design.

I wish i wasn’t writing negative review. At first the cable was doing a wonderful job, but after about 7 weeks it just stopped working and doesn’t charge neither my iPhone, nor my iPad.Update; As I live in Europe there was no way for me to return the product. I just wrote this review and did not contact the customer support:The Anker Customer Support contacted me shortly after my review and offered a new cable, free of charge. I really appreciated the attention. Was able to test this new cable and works great.

I have purchased a ton of cables over the years. Most of them do not last, and some of the worst are those that actually come with the device.This cable is head and shoulders above all other cables. It’s durable. You can feel its robust quality in the hand. It lasts and stands up to heavy use in my car as my cable for use there.Very simple: this is a great cable. Lifetime Warranty. It’s strong and holds up to heavier use than just plugging it in and sitting it on a table. I love it and will be buying more.

Sometimes these long cords don't work well. This one seems great so far. I've only had it for a very short time, but it seems sturdy and a bit thinner than the other very long cords I've used. Also, there is a plastic "protector" not sure what to all it - right where the cord goes into the connection part designed to protect that connection from coming apart. So far it seems to be doing it's job - of course only time will tell. But again - so far - great!!

I needed a cord to replace my iPhone cord that stopped working because the section near the lightning connector wore out from bending. I went to the apple store to replace it and the apple rep recommended that I save my money and purchase an Anker one off Amazon. This is cord is so long and I don't have the same issues that I used to have with the rubber cords. And it was for a fraction of the price of getting the Apple product. Definitely buy this vs getting an Apple one.

It doesn’t work. Plug it in at 10%, cooked dinner and ate it. Probably 40 minutes later checked and it was at 16%.... my boyfriend put his in at the same time at was at 57% using a different cable same plug... you may wonder oh my phone is broke but I plugged it in to the one my boyfriend used... the time it took for me to write this review my went from 15% to 22% (3 minutes)Update a week later... DO NOT BUY I THINK ITS ACTUALLY DAMAGING MY BATTERY. It was fully charged first thing, got to work 1 hour later it was left at 50%

wanted this product in a certain length and colour and was pleased that it was delivered in record time. Sometimes non apple accessories do not work with apple devices - this did which was good.

Anker kit is quality. Ive bought it before and its goodThe charging cable may seem a bit low tech but if it doesn't charge you're in trouble!I had problems with continual “chiming” with cheap power cables but the Anker work version well.Recommended

Perfect! I got two of these because I’ve started gaming on my laptop and wanted a cable in every room. I love Anker. I trust them 100% and wouldn’t buy a non-brand Apple item from anywhere else.

This is the second one of these I’ve bought. They don’t split like the Apple ones and the length means you can use iPod/Phone whilst charging.
