Outstanding Broiler Pan
This thing is every bit as good as advertised. I bought a new range last fall and although it is a high end range with an infrared broiler, it did not come with a pan. Because that infrared broiler is a superb way of cooking steaks and burgers, I searched for a while before deciding on this broiler pan, and it was a great choice. I have done prime ribeyes, prime strip steaks, and high quality burgers on this pan with great success. Pop it in the broiler to heat up for about 5 minutes, then put the meat on. Nothing has gotten stuck to it, and just as advertised, you do not have to turn the meat over as the design cooks it from both sides. Easy as pie to clean up as well. Well worth the money!

Totally missed the mark for me :(
How I rate: 1 star-don't like at all, 2 stars-it's ok (meh), 3 stars-impressed (I like it), 4 stars-pretty darn good (I love this), 5 stars-wow (indispensable in my life)If I could return this I would, but I threw the box away. After reading several rave reviews I purchased this with very high hopes of being able to mimick grilling certain foods but with your broiler oven instead. Fail. It does an ok job of being a heavy duty broiler pan-thus the 2 stars rating (it's ok). But fails to actually "sear" the meat when preheated in the broiler oven per the manufacturer's instruction of 2-3 mins of preheat. I left it in the broiler oven on high for 5 mins the next time and while I heard sizzling the second time around it pretty much cooled down by the time the 3rd piece of meat got placed on the broiler pan. Therefore no true "sear" marks ever came of that dinner batch. The broiler grill rack is coated with a nonstick coating, and while it seems like a nice convenience it really isn't. I try to be careful with my nonstick cookware as not to etch them, so it became a slightly dangerous task to pop the grill rack off to drain the hot liquid/oil without scratching the grill rack (which sits nicely inside the pan lip) between each batch I had to cook. Yes, I let it cool a little bit for about 10 mins between batch, but when you are trying to cook 8lbs of chicken breast and 2 lbs of steak for a hangry husband (extra food for the week) you just don't have hours to cool your rack, preheat it again just for sear marks and commence with the broiling/cooking. I gave up trying to get sear marks after the 2nd batch as it really wasn't that noticeable on the 2 pieces of chicken breast that made it to the grill rack while it was still sizzling hot. For this price point I could have bought 2 or 3 other regular enameled broiler pans that would have done the same job, but allowed me to interchange them as the prior pan was cooling down. Lesson learned. I would not recommend this to my family or friends. Someone else may have better luck with a smaller (1 pan) batch of food.

Great broiler pan except the non-stick comes off too soon.
This is the 3rd time that I bought this broiler pan. It is an extremely good pan and cooks very well, but the non-stick surface starts coming off after awhile. I am extremely careful and don't use any abrasive spatulas or cleaning products. Gently wiping the surface of the grate with a paper towel after you remove the food is good to prevent food from burning on - resist the urge to scrub! After it cools, put it in the sink and spray it with water. Wipe gently with a paper towel. Most food comes right off. Repeat if necessary. Gently wash with soap and water. This will extend the useful life and is quite easy. I wish Nordic Ware could improve it just a little more and then it would be fantastic or at least offer an option to buy just the grate portion.

Best grill to use in your kitchen
It is really great and every time we cook on this outstanding grill, we realty excited how good the meat taste and is so easy to use and easy to clean. I think everybody should consider on getting one. If you leave where you got the yearn for good steak and the weather is cold you can't use your butane grill, it really worth the try. I would give this ratting a 110 out of 100.

How do you clean this?
I really like the thickness of this piece compared to the cheap ones you find in other stores. This is a really substantial grill. The only complaint I have is that it is incredibly difficult to clean. I made a steak and the grease on the bottom tray would NOT come off. I scrubbed it and stuck it in the hot cycle of the dishwasher. I have no idea how to get the grease off of the bottom. In any case, I gave it four stars because of its substantial feel of the metal.

I'm glad new ranges no longer come with broiler pans!
Somebody finally got it right! Yes, it is the grill that needs to be non-stick, not the pan underneath, which I can line with foil. Not to mention that after this grill has been heated under the broiler for two minutes, I can throw a steak on it and broil for two more minutes, and have the steak turn out perfectly (rare). Clean up is quite literally a breeze. I'm so glad that new ranges no longer come with broiler pans, and I'd already given the old one away when I discovered that, as I wouldn't have found this vastly improved version otherwise!

Nice quality
The product arrived on time and was packaged well. This is a quality item and although we considered it a little pricey for a broiler pan we have been very pleased. The instructions say to add 1/3 cup water in the pan and heat the pan under the broiler for 3 minutes. Doing this prevents a lot of the splattering of grease and prevents smoking. It also cuts the broiling time down by about half. The pan cleans easily though it is not to go in the dishwasher. Overall, very pleased with the product; the price, not so much.

It has some QC issues, but overall, it works.
It work well and does what it's supposed to do. While the grill is easy to clean, the rough surface of the pan makes it more difficult to clean than it should be. there is also something on one and of the grill that is under the nonstick surface, to QC was definitely lacking on this pan. While non of these problems affect the performance of the pan to the point where I would return it, it is still far less than I expected.

Cleans great
I absolutely love this pan. I started using it the night I got it. I made crispy perfect chicken wings. So far I have cooked chicken, pork, beef and vegetables on it. It cleans SOOOOOO easy and nothing is peeling off at all. I was worried from some of the reviews but maybe they just had bad luck.

After the first use of this grill with 2 steaks ...
After the first use of this grill with 2 steaks, when washing it with a sponge, the nonstick coating started to come off.

Very disappointed.
Non stick coating began to fail after just a couple of uses. And got worse from then on. Used less than a dozen times and flaking coating appeared all over. Don't know what the coating is but I'm sure it ain't healthy to eat so can't use it. Other reviews glowing, I must have got a factory reject.
