Apple 2017 iMac with Intel Core i5, 21.5-inch, 8GB RAM, 1TB Storage - Silver (Renewed)

Great value. I purchased this after buying an LG monitor and tried to use it with my 2017 Macbook. The pixels were fuzzy, the translation wasn't great. So I opted to take a chance and buy this refurbished Mac. Like new out of box. Gave it a software update macOS Monterey 12.4. Took a while to transfer everything- I use a combo of outlook, google, chrome. I'm still adjusting. It's great to have a nice big beautiful desktop. How was I working on an 11in macbook on spreadsheets and presentations for so long? this is a game changer. It's silly to complain about the keyboard and mouse that I see in so many review. Spend the money and get your self an apple keyboard and mouse. It's apple after all. I'm still adjusting the screen and contrast- hoping to get a sharper pixle. I actually think I may need new glasses for my eyes, to adjust to this screen. I will be reaching out to tech support and will update this review when it is adjusted. I'm really satisfied. It's this for $300+ or $1500 for a new mac desktop. Again, a fantastic option. I'm happy with my purchase. UPDATE FEB 2023: upgraded to ventura and it has become very slow. I understand that this model 2017-2019 Flash drive../ Hard drive has a physical spinning disk 2017 - that’s all they had and doesn't perform as optimally as it should. The expert at the Apple genius bar suggested going to a 3rd party Apple repair to update the hard drive storage to a “Solid State drive” It is at the apple store right now - they are downgrading back to BIG Sur to see if it will perform better. I'll check the cost on that. If that service costs less than $300 I'll do it. Otherwise, I'll be in the market for a new mini mac with 10 core graphics card and buy a moniter. mini macs are @ $600 plus the cost of a monitor: $200-300. Or, the new 24 inch $1200. The resolution never really improved either on this one.. light on the pixels. I still don't regret purchasing this at the time, it worked for my needs for a while for something under $500.

Update. Upgraded operating system to Monterey. Took a few tries but so worth it!! Can install apps and love the updated features . It’s like a new computer at fraction of the price. Maybe not the fastest but good enough for me. Great deal on this 2017 Mac. Overall I’m very happy with it. New to Mac so still learning. The screen is gorgeous. Can’t install apps due to the older IOS, not sure if it could be upgraded to later one. I’m not super techie or a gamer so it does everything I need it to do. I can have several windows open at a time and it’s pretty fast. But then coming from a 2009 dell it’s a huge upgrade(which still works fine, just too outdated). The only thing is every once in a while it bogs down and I have to do a restart or shut down and then it’s fine. Could be something I’m doing, not sure. Oh and I like the keyboard and mouse, works great for me. I especially like the smaller size of the keyboard. I’ve actually been telling people about what a great deal I got on this computer so yeah I’m happy!!

I bought this renewed iMac (2017 1080p 1TB) as a family computer because I saw it going for a good price and it was advertised to look like new. It came without any scratches and it definitely looks like it came straight from the Apple Store. The speakers sound great and the screen quality isn't as sharp as I would like it to be, but the colors still pop and it's great to watch videos on. There's also plenty of storage space for us to store pictures without having to turn to the subscription-based cloud storage services. Of course since this is a Mac, it won't run many games on Steam but I had luck playing league of legends and Sims 4 without running into any issues. The drawback with this model is that switching between users is SLOW. Also if you're booting up the computer after shutting it down, It feels like torture sitting in a chair looking at a black screen for 3 minutes waiting for it to startup. My MacBook could do this same task almost instantly. After boot up and letting the iMac connect to the WiFi though, it works really well and I really value the Apple ecosystem for how it syncs with my iPhone and iPad easily. It's not the best iMac you can buy, but if your needs consist of web browsing, streaming video, text editing, and online shopping? This is seriously such a good value for your money. If you're expecting flagship performance with instant boot up times, high-performance gaming, and near-instant app switching then this is sadly not the one for you. Go for an SSD storage model w/ a better graphics card.

It’s a brick can’t run anything cause it’s all out of date. Runs and starts but it won’t even load normal web pages. Not worth it honestly if you are looking todo anything on it

I’m so happy I bought this iMac. I was a bit skeptical at first because of the reviews but I took a chance anyway and I’m glad I did. The fact that it came in only two days by UPS requiring a signature In all original apple products. The original box and original apple mouse and keyboard. I’m so glad I didn’t get some knock off version of a keyboard and mouse. Even the iMac feels and looks brand new, I think they made a mistake and sent me a brand new iMac. I am so pleased. If I could give it more stars I would. I would say I would buy more but from the looks of it I will have this for a while. I will tell my friends and family to buy one before they run out. I would have took pictures but im writing this review from the IMac! To the seller and Amazon thank you sooo much!!!I recommend this to everyone it’s so worth it.

The product was nice. It worked as described, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to use it because of it not being able to be updated. I’m not a very tech savvy person and I thought it would be a simple upgrade but then I noticed that the Apple support said it was an able to support in an old system. so I couldn’t do the work that I needed to do on it unfortunately.

Tiene sistema operativo de 2017, no es posible instalar ningún programa con ese sistema, ni pages ni ningún procesador de texto. Así que no tiene ninguna utilidad. Al quererla devolver, el costo de envío de regreso me dicen que debo pagarlo y cuesta $7800.00 pesos, más caro que la computadora!! Y Amazon quiere que yo lo pague. Es un vil fraude y el vendedor sigue haciendo de las suyas.

Works great, disappointed it didn’t have a CD drive.

The Mac was super slow, constantly freezing. I barely use it to be honest because it takes too long to do anything on it. Also, the keyboard and mouse were non-apple products.
