Great low-profile high chair.
We love that this high chair is so low-profile. It's not bulky at all and works really well in our very small house. It is also adjustable, which we're really happy with. We did get the baby kit to go with it.

Pretty but very poorly designed
Do not be fooled by how pretty this high chair is. Yes, it looks good and when you first get it, it is lovely. But over time, it has major design issues. I have several friends with this chair and we all have the exact same problems and all wish very much we had not purchased this, as it is a very expensive choice. The biggest issue is the design of the tray attachement to the chair, basically over time it begins to slant, so the tray is at an angle, which is a big issue for putting food/plates on there, it slides forward and off the tray. You can get out the alan wrench it came with and try to fix, and we do this, but over time it just gets worse and it now only takes a couple days to slide back down again and doesnt stay up much. I even called the company and they acknowledged this was something you had to adjust, it is a known flaw in the design. As I said, of the several people I know, all of us have this same problem. The other issue is that the finish on the wood is just not durable, so over the time and heavy use children provide, it wears very quickly and looks quite beaten up. We only have 1 chid and nothing out of the ordinary at all, but its pretty look fades fast to just looking dingy and old... Overall a very disappointing purchase, other than the first few months when it still was in good shape and looked pretty. There are several oterh wooden high chairs that also look great but are better built, my recommendation is to get one of those instead.

Versatile chair that grows with your child
I purchased this chair several years ago for my daughter and it has served us well. She used the tray from 6 mos to about a year old - it was easy to clean and we didn't remove the plastic from the tray. We didn't use the safety harness as the wooden high chair was totally sufficient. With the tray removed, it was really easy to have my daughter at the table at the right height - which for us, was one of the main selling points of this chair. As she grew, we were able to adjust the seat, and most importantly, the foot rest height, which helped her have good posture at the table. By the time she was 3 1/2, we could remove the wooden "high chair" harness, and she would sit with us at the table on just the wooden high seat, which meant that we could push her in at the table like a normal chair. We used it this way until she was 6.I have not experienced the wear and tear that other people have - the finish on my cherry Swan continues to look like new.
