It works well without any setup, just plug and play. The only thing I don't like, at least with my laptop, is that it makes the laptop screen black when I cast to the tv. I can still use the touchpad or even the touch screen on my laptop, but can only see the screen on the tv. I'm not sure if this is a setting that can be changed on my laptop, but when I used to cast from my laptop to a roku, I was able to see the screen on both the laptop and tv.

Good for older, simpler games. Good for photos and your own video content. Otherwise, not as reliable as I hoped. TLDR; the typical android device is still too low end to support miracast. (Check your device before purchasing).Initial configuration was a breeze. However, usage is a bit rough. Lots of video resolution/ sync issues that result in blank screens with audio only. I often need to pull the anycast usb power plug and reset all the connections. Some older games work, but newer games like Pokémon go don’t. We find lots of video web sites employ video pop up ads, which somehow get stuck in loops and take over the whole screen once you start casting. I don’t necessarily blame this device, but rather think the casting technology is still too immature.

I've had the worst time with this dongle, I've had it for about a week and 2 days. Since then I haven't been able to connect it to my brothers or my phone (LG K20 plus, android 7.0). However, I also haven't been able to connect it with my laptop (lenovo yoga 720), but had like 4 successful connections with my brothers(dell inspiron 13 7000). Even then it's really hard to get it to connect and if you move your mouse too much it disconnects. With my laptop it says that it can't connect at all and I've tried everything. It'll say it's connected for a few seconds and then it just won't connect. I heard the chrome cast is just a few dollars more, but if it works better then this thing I'll definitely buy it. I really wanted it to work since it was a gift for my brother so he could write papers on the big screen without straining too much. Also since we don't have cable right now due to the digital box thing it seemed like a great option. I won't give it 1 star since it has connected a few times and the display looked very nice when it did connect. But this thing barely works.

I ordered this product to use with my MacBook Pro and iOS and Chrome browser for entertainment purpose with great hope that it will work as described on Amazon.At first, setting up the device was very easy as described but I found issues after few day uses with the iOS and macOS device.1. Disconnect quite often. it does not connect with the device so restart again and again either your device or dongle.2. Display quality is poor for Netflix and Youtube and Chrome.3. Video display framerate from iOS and macOS is very poor and a big lag.4. Mirroring with macOS is terribly bad because of bad resolution (my tv display is 1080P).I contacted seller explaining all this issues but seller did not responded.

The dongle does not work. It lags horribly and it doesn't even connect to windows devices. It worked with a Macbook for a day before lagging so badly that it would turn itself off due to the lag. I do not recommend this product if you are looking for something that will function.

My team mates and I often share videos with each other, but it is a bit of a pain to try to look at such a small screen, so I decided to try this out. Though I just got it, I can say It works very well. The setup was simple and easy to follow and it only took a few minutes to set up. The picture quality is very great and has all the range I need. If I were to need to take it somewhere, it is compact enough to easily carry and quick to setup when I reach my destination.

Put this in our theater room and it's amazing! It's so much easier for my kids to switch between gaming systems without having to manually switch the wires and button. It's also very convient to watch movies from different devices like cell phones and tablets also.

This has been working well for several months at a weekly bingo session at a senior dining center. I call the games using Bingo Caller Pro from the Amazon App Store. It shows nice large numbers. I just have to boot my Kindle Fire before starting the session and then the two units connect. It helps to stay close to the dongle for better signal results. The place is known for being a tough signal area for WiFi.
