Exped SynMat UL 7 Pump Sleeping Mat.

I was at the stage of avoiding camping trips because of uncomfortable sleep from crummy pads. This pad changes everything! I first used it on a trip to Minnesota's Boundary Waters and, for the first time in over 20 trips, I slept through the night every night! I could be more delighted! It is especially great for side sleepers, like me, as I never felt the ground beneath my hip.It packs ridiculously small and is very light. Inflation was no problem with the Schnozzle bag (purchased separately) and it stayed fully inflated for 3 nights (I had to give it a couple more pumps after that). I was the best money spent I've spent on camping gear! I recently bought my wife one so we can both have the comfort of home while camping.This pad replaces a couple variations of Thermarest sleeping pads - Prolite and Base Camp models. I don't miss either one of them!

Can't go wrong with a UL air mattress like this, with a good R-value, as well. I've used it twice and have not had any issues. Very easy to deflate, roll up, and put back into storage bag. The bag is about the size of 2 regular-sized coffee cups placed on top of each other.I purchased it with the Schnozzel bag to pump it up and it is fully filled with 3-4 bags worth. The benefit of the bag is that it can also be used as a storage sack and I put my clothes in it, to use as a pillow. Love the convenience of this set up.

I took this pad on a forty mile trip and it worked like a charm.

A little noisy if you move around a lot, yes, but super comfortable and warm. I actually purchased the bellows bag later and now use it to air up this pad instead of physically blowing air into it. Only takes a few bellow bags full of air and it's fully inflated. I love the pull tabs for air intake and release.

This mat is more comfortable than my bed at home. It's light weight, easy to fill, and very rugged. My dog (border collie) stomps all over this thing and frequently sleeps on the mat and so far no punctures. It's very warm as well.

Very comfortable. Because it is lightweight, material is not durable and tore on 3rd night of 5 day Sierra trip. Woke up cold with deflated mat. Repair kit included and worked well enough until home and could make a more durable repair.

This mat is great. I love the air mat style over the thinner, self-inflating mats because:- they keep you high off the ground so when the ground is wet or water is rushing by because of a storm, you don't get wet. One time I used a 1" thin self inflating mat and the rainwater that was rushing by also rushed over the top of the mat and I was miserably wet.- They are warm. I always feel warmer on these mats over the thinner style- They are good for side sleeping since you can partially deflate them and STILL stay off of the ground. This is perfect for side sleepers. Other mats are either too thin (hips hit the ground) or are too firm (feels like you are laying on the ground)- They can be used an a raft on a river or lake. What better way to end a long hike than a dip in the lake. With this mat you also have a raft so you can lay on top of it and float around or go out into deeper water and just chill out without having to tread water.

Seems a bit spendy for a sleeping mat, but well worth it. It weighs next to nothing and packs down very small -- about the size of a 1 liter bottle or smaller.

I already own several Exped mats, I really love how small this rolls down to.Extra long and wide so my sleeping bag doesn't get damp.Be aware - the pump is not included!Since we own several Exped mats, we only need one pump for the group with these mats.

Everyting as expected and delivery was fast.

TEMPERATUR/EINSATZBEREICH:Bis zu Bodentemperaturen von ca. 8 Grad und Außentemerpaturen von -2 Grad habe ich mit dieser Matte keine Probleme gehabt. Darunter sollte man sich eher für die besser dämmende Downmat entscheiden (Mein Bruder hat die 10er Downmat und meinte nach dem Probeliegen, dass die SynMat UL 7 genauso bequem sei, aber eben nur 1/3 wiege).GRÖSSE/GEWICHTWirklich klasse ist das kleine Packmaß und Gewicht bei voller Liegegröße.Zwar gibt es inzwischen leichtere Matten, aber diese hier raschelt nicht.TECHNISCHER AUFBAUDer Kammeraufbau ist Geschmackssache: Die Längskammern mit etwas dickeren Seitenkammern halten einen ganz gut auf der Matte. Andererseits sind Querquammern wie bei Wettbewerbsprodukten beim Liegen etwas weniger zu erspüren.Ich mag die Längskammern, zumal diese sehr schnell zu befüllen und entleeren sind.NÜTZLICHDer separat zu kaufenden Füllsack von Exped ist sehr leicht, als Packsack für Kleidung nutzbar und damit ist die Matte innerhalb drei bis vier Füllzyklen perfekt gefüllt. Man sollte die Matte wie alle Matten nicht mit dem Mund aufpusten (Feuchtigkeitstransport in die Matte, potenzielle Schimmelbildung).

Ich habe die Matte April 2014 gekauft und dann leider nicht so oft genutz, wie anfangs gedacht.Ich nutze sie mit dem Exped Schnozzel Pumpbag UL. Damit geht das Aufblasen sehr schnell.Komfort und Wärmeleistung finde ich, für mich persönlich (Wärme- bzw. Kälteempfinden ist ja immer so eine Sache) perfekt.Natürlich raschelt sie etwas, wenn man sich umdreht. Aber daran gewöhnt man sich und empfindet es auch nicht so störend, wie vielleicht der Nebenschläfer ;-) Aber dieses "Problem" haben ja eigentlich alle Luftmatratzen. Wer das vermeiden will, steigt vielleicht lieber auf eine selbstaufblasende Isomatte um...Nun zu den negativen Eigenschaften:Wie schon von anderen Käufern beschrieben, gibt es bei diesen Ultra-Leicht-Matten ja offensichtlich Probleme mit der Verklebung der Nähte.Auch bei mir, ich habe auf der Matte vielleicht 35 Nächte verbracht, löste sich eine komplette Naht der Länge nach. 2 Kammern ergaben dann eine große Kammer. Die Matte war so nicht mehr zu gebrauchen. Auf die UL-Produkte gibt Exped 2 Jahre Garantie...Dennoch habe ich den Verkäufer (lief über Amazon, Verkäufer war aber Biwak Bike+Outdoor-Zentrum GmbH) kontaktiert und angefragt, ob eine Kulanzregelung möglich ist. An dieser Stelle muss ich die sehr freundlichen und motivierten Mitarbeiter von Biwak Bike+Outdoor-Zentrum GmbH loben!!!! Ein bisschen Mailverkehr, Rücksendung der Matte an diese, die dann Exped bzgl. Kulanz angefragt haben.Am Ende habe ich jetzt eine neue Matte, die hoffentlich mehr als 35 Nächte hält :-)Fazit:Matte 5 SterneHaltbarkeit 1 SternKulanz des Herstellers 5 Sterne.Motivierter Verkäufer: UnbezahlbarErgibt nach Adam Riese zwar im Schnitt nicht 3 Sterne, aber auf Kulanz kann ja auch nicht jeder hoffen.
