OX Trade Cold Chisel - ¾" X 18" / 20mm x 450mm

A superb tool that can withstand repeated heavy use without failing or becoming dull.I used this with the equally excellent OX tools 4lb lump hammer to expose a series of old salt-glazed drain pipes that had collapsed and needed to be replaced. The drain pipes had been covered in a large amount of extremely dense concrete that required careful removal so as not cause further damage to the existing drainage or the listed cottage they ran under. Several days of methodical work was made much easier by this chisel. It's immensely strong and powers through hard material. Hour upon hour of repeated use barely left any impression on the steel.The vivid turquoise colour also makes the chisel easy to find if you happen to set it down without paying full attention. The colour contrast against the materials you'll probably use it with means it's very easy to spot at a glance, so there's less chance of it being misplaced and subsequently lost.I can't find anything to criticise; purchase with confidence.

Bought this specifically for a single task - removing tile adhesive blobs from a previously tiled wall. The cold chisel did a clean job - placed easily because it wasn't too heavy for a small hand, and a single tap took the blob off first time. No residual patches on the wall for any but the blob that we'd tried an earlier tool with, and that just took two taps!Solid item, functional and good vfm

This very small but actually a handy little thing to have when you don't need a bigger cold chisel. Used to clean mortar of some paving slabs and did the job well.

Bought to remove some cement around the edge of the flagging, great small size to get into the gaps and has stayed sharp ready for the next job.

Brilliant value and quality cold chisel. I use these for automotive use and they really hold up well. You really cant go wrong

It's OK but. But it's a bit soft but for the price it's worth it

This proved very useful in breaking up some old cement attached to paving bricks i wanted to reuse on an old path. It worked a treat with a chisel and heavy hammer. The blue colour is helpful to relocate it amongst the grass or rubble.

This chisel was delivered about 2:30PM by Amazon. By 2:45PM I was going getting through solid reinforced concrete for several hours. It worked very well clearing a deep channel marked with an angle grinder, among other tasks.After this it's still in great shape - just a lot dirtier than when it came in.Heavy tool, quality is certainly more than good enough for DIY.

Trattandosi sostanzialmente di un tondino di ferro sagomato e con la punta piatta ci sarebbe ben poco da dire, ad ogni modo, io l'ho trovato robusto e ben fatto. Oltre all'utilità che ne ho tratto, ho pure riscontrato una buona qualità. Tenendolo in mano, si può apprezzare il peso e la consistenza dell'oggetto, inoltre la liscia finitura superficiale e la verniciatura costituiscono ulteriori caratteristiche positive.Dopo averlo usato svariate volte, ha sempre fatto il suo dovere senza alcun problema (sia su metallo che su pietra). Si è dimostrato resistente, bilanciato e ben affilato per scalfire anche la pietra più dura. Io ho scelto il modello da 300 mm con diametro da 20 mm e devo dire che è abbastanza grande e solido, anche per i lavori più gravosi.Anche se dovrebbe essere uno scalpello "da meccanico" (ovvero da usare per tagliare, incidere, battere lastre o metalli in genere) io lo sto usando prevalentemente per lavoretti di muratura. Vi posso garantire che questo da 300 mm funziona benissimo anche in questo settore.Da non sottovalutare infine l'ottimo prezzo di vendita. Alcuni scalpelli della stessa serie, ma di altre misure, sembrerebbero un po' costosetti, ma questo da 300 mm viene venduto ad un prezzo molto conveniente.
