Lodge Sportsman's Grill Cover

The cover fit perfectly over my Lodge Sportsman grille. I was hesitant to buy it since there were so many reviews stating the elastic band was too tight and the cover would not fit over the grille. Well it seems as though Lodge read the reviews and made the adjustment because the one I received had no problem going over my grille. It’s a nice durable cover and will last some years.

This cover is a dream come true ... I would always use anything handy to cover my grill .... but it never fit tight and would blow away and let water in . This cover does the trick and it fits perfectly ! It keeps your grill dry and extends the life of your grill . Several hours after grilling I totally clean the grill of ashes .... I Then Spray the Grill with Cooking Spray and I cover the Grill with this Cover .... My Grill almost looks new and I know it will extend the life of the Grill by years... What a " Grate Idea".

Love this grill. Using the HD foil under the coal grate works wonders for removing the ash without too much mess. Spraying "pam" on all available (warm) surfaces after you've cleaned them keeps the seasoning. Love lump coal, almost zero ash. Using an upside down deep lodge fryer for a heat cover helps with thicker meats. The optional grill cover (snug) is nice but you need to take off the carrying handle in order to get it properly on all-the-way; is nice for keeping the WX off of the grill, maintaining the seasoning.. Would make a super nice gift for a couple. Not large enough for a huge family unless your doing the multiple batch routine.

I probably didn't need to buy this cover for my Lodge Grill. However, it's well made and fits like a glove. Getting the cover on the first time was a chore. It's tight, but that's a good thing with respect to protecting the grill.

After reading some of the reviews regarding fit I was skeptical of the purchase. My decision was to go for it since it was made by the manufacturer specifically for the Grill. It's a perfect fit. Tight to go on, and it took both hands and a foot to stretch it over the handles but it fit perfectly. The wire handle needed to be removed and I suspect after some uses the elastic will stretch & become easier over time.Follow up: Legs up on the cooking grate before putting the cover on. Easy on/easy off.

This gives some level of protection to the Sportsman grill, but it is a little tight making it difficult to cover the grill. It did not totally protect the grill from rain. The material stiffed over time. Now I just place the grill in a large plastic storage bin (after cooling of course!).

So I didn't use it on an outdoor grill I used it on the Ninja grill. It fits like a glove and I can leave the grill outside so it doesn't smoke up the house.

I live in Oregon. The Lodge cast iron hibachi feels like it is made of cast iron. ;) It's rather heavy. I don't like to move it around. Too much like exercise. So this cover does a good job of keeping stuff out of the grill when it is not in use. Keeps the rain directly off it, etc. This cover is not really something that will make this grill easy and reasonably clean to transport. So I would not recommend buying it for that reason. But to keep cruft from blowing into your grill when not in use, keeping water from simply running in, etc., it's great.

It fits perfectly unlike some of the reviews. Strong fabric and it is made in China by Lodge!

The cover is tight, but still fits nicely over the grill. As it will reside in the shed I am happy to spend the money for good protection against dust and moisture.
