Purchased to track bbt.I expected it to work like a fitbit in that it would collect and store data while I slept and I could review in the morning. After all, it's not far off that price and has only 1 function. However, that is not how it works. It transmits live to your phone and gets data only whilst the connection is maintained and your phone is on.Put on at bedtime, connected to phone. Phone must be permanently on i.e. no lock-screen for it to work, and within 12”, less if you pull the covers over you!Connection drops in and out through the night with accompanying loud and disturbing beeps. Requires manual pressing of button on device to reconnect. App frequently freezes so you have to reset the whole thing to continue tracking temp. Was utterly frustrating and not in the least conducive to sleep. Wish I returned immediately but I decided to persevere. All subsequent attempts have been similarly stressful. I think I got data for one night after 2 weeks of trying. Reported connection issues but received basic response only to my first question and not to my attempts to clarify the issue and get help.I agree with a previous reviewer that this feels like something still in the testing phasen good potential but not currently a useable product.I have no idea how you would use this to monitor a baby since the phone would have to remain on and right next to them (and so would you to hear it...).

This is the easiest way to track my toddler’s temperature - he won’t stay still for a whole minute with a traditional thermometer!! And it’s also really practical to track my BBT and fertility without having to wake up every day at the same time! Alliance Health customer service is really helpful and they have gone out of their way to help me setting up my device properly. Thanks!

I bought this for myself as I needed to track my temperature and monitor night sweats. After trying it four times and with different phones, I decided to return it because it never got to work as expected. Despite having the required iOS, the app kept crashing and freezing up. Sometimes it disconnected and it didn't even try to reconnect automatically as the user manual said. The manual also said that the Bluetooth connection worked within a 5mt range but I was never able to leave my iPhone more than 50 cms away from me. They really need to develop the technology further before start selling this product.
