TayMac RB550S Weatherproof Box, Round - (5) 1/2-Inch Outlets, Gray

Just what I needed to install above garage flood light. Seemed like hard sturdy plastic that I would imagine will stand up to some harsh outdoor conditions. After installing light it seemed to fit snuggly.

Was well built with quality materials. Easy to install and was perfect for our motion detector.

So to get straight into this, it was easy to install. I took down my light fixtures and I ended up putting this up where my lights used to be and then just put in my lights back onto the box. It is waterproof and it is doing his job quite nicely. It's made of good material. It looks like it would be hard to break and I'm generally happy with purchase. The only reason it loses a star it's cuz it's not the most beautiful looking box. But with that being said I guess you could always paint it.

I was replacing a outdoor flood light with a LED motion activated flood light outside the garage. The previous installer installed the light without a box and silicone the light to metal siding. It left sharp area where sheet metal was drilled, which could be unsafe, besides not up to code. I was able to mount the box with a 1/2" conduit nipple on the outside back of the box. Light fixture with gasket mounted perfectly on box. The box came with several side 1/2" conduit points and 1 rear point to make installation very easy, also had several conduit plugs to close off the points you did not want. It had plenty of area in box to makeup connections and many possible points to connect conduit to extend to other lights. Quick delivery very satisfied.

This was an add-on item for an outdoor motion detector LED light fixture here on Amazon. I have used a lot of outdoor boxes and this one is a clear winner and a must-have for those outdoor installations when quality and reliability matters. I love the mounting tabs. It fit the outdoor LED fixture so perfectly you would think they were made for each other by the same manufacturers and designers. I would recommend using a water tight calk as recommended by the fixture manufacture instructions no matter what box you use. I have always been pleased with the Hubbell-Bell products over the years and was thrilled Amazon offered it as an add-on. Many local hardware retailers offer lesser quality boxes.

I've used this outlet box on two outdoor spotlight projects now. It's very well constructed and makes a sturdy, safe & professional-looking installation a breeze.I use plumber's putty on the back-side and then a silicone sealant around the outside edge and around the outlet hole plugs just to seal everything up. That may be overkill (even in a rain-heavy location) but it gives me absolutely piece of mind.Less expensive on Amazon than equivalent item (metal, white finish) at Home Depot.Couldn't be happier & can recommend.

Ring flood light camera / Ring floodlight camera seals really wants to use the US standard round outlet box with half inch, 1/2", bungs / outlets. This is not common outside the US. This one or similar is what you'll need. Try searching for "NEMA 3R round" to find similar.

Replaced an old rusty electrical box with this one. Fit in well, has all the openings you would need and is a standard size.

I used it to mount a motion sensing light on a garden shed where there was no previous outlet. Came as described with all plugs and needed hardware. I don’t know if it was cheaper or not than the local hardware store. I just know it was convenient to order online and have it delivered

I purchased this because I wish to install a motion light outdoors, but because of the weather I have not been able to do so yet..but this is ideal for the location and project I have planned for
