POC, Joint VPD 2.0 Elbow Pads, Mountain Biking Armor for Men and Women

If I could keep these from sliding down onto my forearms, they would be five stars. I am built like a mountain biker - I have big legs and average-guy-sized arms. I'm not Hulk Hogan in terms of biceps, but i'm not scrawny either. I ordered three different sizes of these to try and find the ones that would work for me and had to return them all.For the first 15 minutes that I wear these, they are awesome - very comfortable with plenty of protection. But as a downhill mountain biker, I ride a lot of rough terrain, and at the end of every single run down the mountain they inevitably end up as "forearm pads" instead of elbow pads. The velcro is decent enough but the strapping that holds them on has too much give to it. I've tried strapping them on tighter than a blood pressure cuff and it's still the same - perfectly fine when standing around but useless when moving.I was hoping these would be the magic but they ended up getting returned as well. They are REALLY nice pads that unfortunately don't stay put on my elbows, no matter how many different ways I try to adjust them.

There's no question about POC's product quality but judging from various reviews I was concerned about the proper size to order.I'm 6'2" and chose LARGE. Ridden on two trips, total 25 miles of X-country and can happily report these elbow pads are PERFECT. No slippage, and until you remove them probably will forget you even are wearing them. My forearm size where the strap attaches is 12", and where the strap attaches above my elbow is 12.5". They fit snug but not tight. Just the way you want them! I hope this helps others with any sizing concerns.

easy to put on and off. comfortable during ride. you almost forget it is there around your elbows. however, you will need to adjust it once or twice during a 3 hours ride. The lower Velcro gets loose and the upper one has also a problem. it is too long so if you stretch it, then the closure is not good enough and when the closure is good enough, then it is not tight enough. to overcome this I usually put it directly over my elbows beneath my long sleeve shirt so the Velcro stays in place and tight enough.I had never fell of my bike with this elbow protector so I can't really say how protected it is.

As a smaller chica, I have a really hard time finding pads they fit. I have always heard that poc pads run small so I finally decided to give them a try and I am glad I did because they fit me perfectly.My upper arm measurement is 9in and my lower are in 7.5in. the small fits my arm nice and snug and the padding wraps around my elbow wothout looking too bulky....These are a bit blukier than other elbow pads I have used but the comfort makes up for that.

I had the first gen of these. They wore out over time and on rocky terrain they slide down. I thought with these having a top and bottom wrap they would be better. They are still prone to sliding a bit. Otherwise the protection and comfort is great.I wear the medium. The small is way too tight. Maybe I'm just between sizes for this product. Build quality is awesome.If they are a good fit. Highly recommend. Just beware of them sliding down on long descents.

Fits well, tight but not so tight that its not comfortable. The straps have plenty of length for adjustment. I bought the POC knee pads also which fit well, doesn't slide around and has plenty of adjustment in the straps. Im 5'8" 200lb regular build, both pads were a size large. Had one crash with the knee pads into a four foot deep hole onto gravel and a few rocks at no fault of my own, a hiker panicked and ran into me, but the pads did their job, good protection and no injury, pads held up great.

I love POC gear! It's flexible and has already saved me multiple times on my bike and on ski's. Note, it is stiff in colder climates, so do a warm up indoors before hitting the slopes.

Stylish, fits perfectly. I used the size chart on their website to order.Snug, cool and soon forgot I was wearing them! This is the first pair of elbow protection I have ever used for MTB so I cannot compare but I did wear pads for skateboarding in years past and I wish they had these back then! Even the light weight thin pads I had were nowhere near this comfortable.

Too Big for my Biceps just right for my Forearm.These are very good quality elbow pads and you can tell that were you to fall on your they would do a fantastic job of protecting me. Unfortunately on the first use of them downhill I found that they slipped to my forearm and I lost any of the benefit that I had bought them for.The top adjustable strap is fairly stretchy and so when you pull it tight it pulls a long way round the arm to the point where you run out of velcro.I really love and want the technology built into these but having used them I don't think this is a satisfactory long-term solution and so essentially have wasted the money that I paid for them.

Feel of these is great, well made and mouldable to your arm. They stay on better than previous cheap guards I've used.And the build quality is better than then bliss knee/shin guards I have.

I haven't fallen off yet (thankfully) but they feel comfortable and strong - so Im in good hands I think.

Nise elbow protectors but bottom strap is not stretchie like the top one so not so good for tightening but apart from that they are a good.

Zuerst kam der Artikel wurde ohne Polygiene-Tag, was mich verwunderte. Ich nahm daraufhin Kontakt zu Polygiene und POC auf.Polygiene antwortete, dass die Schoner von POC nicht mehr mit Polygiene beschichtet werden, obwohl bei der Produktbeschreibung angegeben!Zitat:"After checking with the product management at POC directly, I have to inform you that POC unfortunately decided not to treat these guards with Polygiene anymore.The ones you have bought will unfortunately not stay fresh as the older models did.The small symbol on the package was a production mistake only."Nach einer kurzen 20km Tour fingen deswegen die Schoner auch an bestialisch zu stinken!Das ist für mich eine Verarsche von POC, gerade weil der POC-Kundensupport angeben hat, das die Schoner trotzdem mit Polygiene beschichtet worden sind. So ist der Preis im Vergleich zur Konkurenz zu hoch!

Eigentlich ein guter Schoner: trägt nicht zu sehr auf, sitzt gut und vermittelt Sicherheit durch gute Verarbeitung und bewährte Materialien.Eigentlich.. Jedoch ist der Schoner aktuell nicht mehr zu empfehlen.Der Grund liegt an der harten und kratzigen Naht innen oben, welche direkt auf den Oberarm drückt.Ich hatte die Schoner für zehn Minuten probeweise angelegt und hatte einen Abdruck der Naht auf meinem Oberarm.Hinzu kommt die fehlende Behandlung mit Polygiene.Aus meiner Sicht scheinen das Sparmaßnahmen zu sein, um ggf. höhere Herstellungspreise auszugleichen oder mehr Gewinn einzufahren.Wie auch immer: zum Preis von 100 Euro UVP kann ich einen Schoner erwarten, der auch dauerhaft bequem zu tragen ist.Daher in gegenwärtigem Zustand absolut keine Empfehlung.Von POC bin ich Besseres gewohnt.

Habe die Protektoren in Größe M bestellt. -> entsprechend der Größentabelle.Geliefert wurde ein Artikel, mit Etikett in M aber in Größe SArtikel gegenüber den genannten Maßen in der Größentabelle viel zu klein. Die Einstellung war bei max. und schnürte ein. Für den Gebrauch so nicht geeignet.Sehr sehr schade. -> Rücksendung.Habe dann L bestellt. -> Natürlich schon fast zu groß bei min Einstellung. Sehr schade.Habe POC Knieprotektoren aus gleicher Modellreihe in Größe M. Passt sehr gut. Sind funktionell, sehr gute Qualität.

Ich bin lt Größentabelle ein größerer M, daher M bestellt. Der Schützer ist recht eng, man braucht zum Anziehen daher etwas Ziehen, er sitzt dafür aber bombenfest, ich bin sicher, dass das auch im Sturzfall so bleibt (werde es hoffentlich nie herausfinden). Hab ihn probeweise daheim ein paar Minuten getragen, war angenehm, und beim Downhill-Einradeln denke ich eh auch an was anderes als den Sitz der Ausrüstung.***Update***Heute halbe Stunde getragen - fühlt sich auch nicht anders an als ein enger Pullover, angenehm! Und echtes Plus an Sicherheitsgefühl, wichtige Sache, wenn man auf dem Einrad auf eine Stiege zufährt!

Die Ellenbogenschoner fühlen sich ganz gut und bequem an, im Großen und Ganzen stören sie auch nicht bei Touren was sehr positiv ist.Aber leider rutschen sie immer wieder runter was ein permanentes nach oben ziehen nach sich zieht, was dann auf Dauer aber doch nervig ist.Eventuell liegt es daran das mir die Schoner ein Tick zu groß sind, an dem Platz um den Ellenbogen fühlen Sie sich aber nicht zu groß an.Da ich sie aber schon auf einer Tour anhatte (wo ich das herunterrutschen erst bemerkt hatte) kann ich sie auch nicht mehr zurück senden,

Schützt im Vergleich zum Vorgänger vom oberen Klettverschluss , bis zum unteren Ende des Schoners. Schmiegt sich wunderbar ans Knie an und fängt Aufprälle auf Stein oder Holz sehr gut ab. Einmal angezogen und etwas eingetragen und man merkt den Schoner weder beim treten oder springen, noch ist er in mehreren Stunden Trails fahren auch nur einmal verrutscht.Ist das Geld absolut wert.

Arrivate nei tempi, sono comode e garantiscono una buona protezione.In salita non le uso, di mio patisco il caldo e loro non sono freschissime, però nei pezzi sali/scendi non danno problemi.
