Trekmates Flameless Cook Super Power Refill Pack (5x50g)

Love these packets. I use them in a dutch oven pattern with double foil casserole type pans, all packed in an insulated casserole container. Bottom foil pan has the dry packet. After traveling by car to the scuba dive boat with the pre-cooked/warmed appetizers, I add the water with a Ketchup type squirt bottle into the bottom pan of the dutch oven casserole pan and add a digital remote thermometer in the appetizers. It gets to 140 for about 45 minutes if insulated and when you serve them on the boat an hour after adding the water, they are smokin hot. Guests wonder how you did it without an open flame which isn't allowed on dive boats. Tasty, Tonge-burning-Hot and Very impressive !!

Works as described, so surprisingly well. I've now used these to heat up or cook many different types of food, including soup and freeze-dried meals. The packs heat up quickly, last a long time and most definitely cook to a suitable temperature. I highly recommend this product. Also, the price is reasonable given what it does and that the cost ends up being not much more than fuel canisters common for more conventional camping stoves.

These heat packs are fantastic. I will still use my alcohol stove or butane stove but when I can't use the fire I will use the Heat packs. The military has a version of these but they don't get as hot. I like yours better.John Hild

Brilliant for festivals: they're allowed in, you don't need to keep an eye on it and you have hot food/drinks.

Used this product is some pretty harsh conditions and was grateful to be able to have a hot drink / meal with next to no hassle.

After buying a trek mate cookset i bought theses as refills when i need them . Worked brilliantly. Great for hotmeals in an emergency or when cooking is not a option.
