The tea has a great nuttiness to it with more depth than your typical watered down green. Absolutely love this tea and have gifted it to multiple friends and family. Absolutely my go to tea, day or night.

4 stars because I have to use two bag for potency. The taste is great otherwise and better than most brands.

If you asked the average Japanese why they are so much healthier than USA folks, most would attribute it to green tea. In our hectic modern world, Green tea calms and clarifies ones mind while providing large amounts of healthy phytochemicals. Sadly, the Green Tea options here are limited. Amazon offers these two imports which are a cut above most. Below is a comparison of two of the best bagged options offered by AmazonPriceIto-En 50 bags for $20Maeda-En 100 bags for $20While Meada-En would seem a better value, Ito-En is guaranteed to make two decent cups per bag due its superior quality. Two good cups per bag with about 1/2 the leaves.LeafIto-En Leaves - High quality, young, baby budding top, whole leafs slow dried for that true green tea fresh greens punch. The aroma smells like Spring, freshly cut baby greens.Meada-En Leaves - Medium quality mature leaves that are goosed up with the addition of matcha powder. The leaves are minced up like most medium grade, larger more mature whole leaves. They have a bit of oxidized, fast heated dry appearance and smoky brown tea aroma.BrewIto-En Brew - Dazzling deep green color brimming with polyphenols. It not only calms but clarifies ones mental outlook.Maeda-En - A weaker brew despite packing substantially more leaves into the bag. The color is a duller yellowish brown with a hint of green provided by the splash of matcha powder that the bag is dusted with. It pack much less of a mental punch in terms of calmness and clarity and substantially less polyphenols. My guess is that you would need to drink several cups of Maeda-En using on bag per cup to get the same results as the Ito-EnBagsIto-En Bags - These bags are superior quality, triangular nylon used for the best bagged teas in Japan. The bags balloon out in the water providing a much larger brewing surface which makes for a better cup of tea. NOTE: While there is some public concern that such bags much leach plastic chemical into ones tea. These are heat resistant nylon not cheap plastic so this should not be an issue. Nylon may also not be the most ecologically friendly material since it does not degrade as quickly as paper but the amount used is minimal.Maeda-En Bags - These are the traditional paper tea bags like one would get with Lipton Tea.Neither Tea bags uses metal staples found in cheaper tea bags so they are good to go in terms of microwave if that is how you heat your water. If you want to make tea a habit, I would suggest a japanese style electric kettle or, if one is on a budget and only brew one cup at a time a hot shot single cup water heater.Verdict - Unless one only drinks a single cup at a time and doesn't want to pay for the superior quality, the more expensive Ito-En Tea is hands down the preferable tea. It would be considered a respectable green tea even in Japan. The Meada-En, while much better than most green teas sold in the USA, would be considered an inferior, budget green tea in Japan.

The first batch I had of this was excellent. I compared it to a similar Costco brand. This tea was noticeably greener and had a much nicer taste. However, I bought a second packet, which was no different or slightly worse than the Costco version. Both were the same green-brown color instead of the nice fresh green of the first pack, and the Costco has a slightly less bitter flavor. It's a shame because the first pack was so nice, but now I don't know if to reorder.

Flavor as good as tea pot method ease of preparation

I picked this up at the Naruto airport and have been looking for it ever since! My favorite tea!

Have been told to stay away from tea originating from China due to soil issues. Very happy to get this tea - grown in Japan. Stay healthy!

味は濃くておいしいけど、パッケージがデカすぎる。個包装を今の半分にできる。結果、外装箱も半分でOK。紅茶の100パック入と箱がほぼ同じなので改良してほしい。

こちらを普通に急須に入れて飲んでいます。一煎目は本当に旨味が出ていて、一煎目特有の少し甘みがあって、ティーバッグでこんな味が出るんだと驚きました。ティーバッグなので後片付けが楽です。一人でお茶を気軽に楽しめます。いろいろなティーバッグを試しましたけど、結局伊藤園に戻ります。美味しいです。

ティーバッグの素材がナイロンで素早くお湯に熔けだしてくれるので、とても使いやすかったです。

表題通り。わたしの望む、簡単に手軽に美味しく飲めるお茶でした！職場での使用にもオススメ！
