Romantic, funny, spicy, and crazy wedding chaos
When Franchesa imagined helping her best friend, Pru get ready for her wedding, she thought she’d just be dealing with the obnoxious, rich, high society people that were the majority of the wedding party, and deal with Mr. Serious a.k.a. Rude man known as, Aiden Kilbourn, but… turns out not everything goes according to plan… especially when the groom get kidnapped the night before the wedding!!!When I first read the synopsis of, “The Worst Best Man”, and it mentioned the groom getting kidnapped, my mind instantly imagined some type of crazy shenanigans created by the groomsmen, but turns out I was wrong. Right away, this story was adventurous, hilarious, and had a little bit of the mystery element in trying to figure out why Chip was taken, what did Aiden have to do with it, and how were Frankie and Aiden going to get Chip back?!Lucy did a wonderful job setting the stage for this story, and immediately I loved Frankie! She was a total spit fire, and she never backed down, especially against the likes of Aiden Kilbourn. Aiden and Frankie got off on the wrong foot, due to Aiden saying things about Frankie in an unflattering way. Regardless of their bumpy start, Aiden slowly but surely (more like denying the truth) that he became intrigued by Frankie. I would say, Aiden fell into the, “guy falls for girl first” trope such as, Aiden making an excuse to pickup Frankie from the airport, wanting to spend alone time with her, and not to mention wanting to get his hands all over her! OMG!This story was fun and had me following along on Frankie and Aiden’s wild goose chase. At moments, I forgot I was at home reading and felt transported to Barbados, and running around the island with Frankie and Aiden. Even after the craziness that ensued in Barbados, Frankie and Aiden’s story went deeper and they both had to work on themselves in order to be together. I loved seeing the individual growth in Frankie and Aiden because, after reflecting on their choices and themselves, they made active moves in order to better themselves. The character growth was great.Despite Frankie trying to resist Aiden’s lust filled gaze and wandering hands, Frankie and Aiden were slowly building an attraction to each other that they couldn’t help. Among the budding romance and spicy encounters, I loved how Frankie was straight forward, “take charge” kind of woman, and basically laid down the law. One of my favorite quote was when Frankie said, “I’m not a ‘submit to the alpha’ kind of girl. I’m a ‘kick him in the *Bleep bad word* and take what I want’ woman.” Frankie knew what she was dealing with when it came to Aiden and she showed him exactly just how much control she had over him. Going back to the whole, “him falling for her first”, Aiden was determined to be with Frankie, albeit in the beginning he didn’t believe in long term relationship, but over time (fairly quickly in my opinion) spending time with Frankie had him reconsidering. Not to mention, Aiden being a rich man, used it and his connections in order to please our darling Frankie such as, buying her a brand new coat over seeing the one she had was old, oh and did I forget to mention it was a designer brand coat?! Aiden had no shame in using his money. When it came to Frankie, Aiden was not only all over her, but wanted to give her everything.Aiden and Frankie brought out the best in each other and I loved how they didn’t hold back, especially Aiden being so blunt about how he wanted Frankie, ended up telling her sweet things he couldn’t help, but blurt out haha. This story started off in a way I wasn’t expecting, but it enjoyable and seeing how Aiden and Frankie come together was just as fun and exciting to read. As the story progressed, the romance, spice, and emotional connection between Frankie and Aiden grew stronger, and I LOVED IT! Also the epilogue was pretty romantic and very in tune with how Aiden and Frankie are as a couple. I’m so happy having read another wonderful book by Lucy Score!

brilliantly written Great characters Laugh out loud funny
Frankie is working on her MBA and working three jobs to be able to be in her best friends wedding without her friend paying for her. Her friend Pru, her roommate from college, is who is old money rich is having an extravagant island wedding. Frankie is determined to be the best Bridesmaid ever and make sure the wedding is everything Pru wants it to be. With a best man who insulted her before they even met and three bridesmaids from hell it is nearly impossible but she manages to pull it off.Aiden is a billionaire who is all business. His fathers multiple wives turned him off on the subject of marriage or a committed realtionship. He didn't intend for Frankie to hear what he said about her and works very hard to make it up since they are going to have to work together and he feels the same about his friend Chip as she does Pru.Jackie has a quick wit and often is able to make a comeback when the bridesmaids insult her without causing a problem. I wish I could be like her! Aiden pursues Frankie for a fling but she keeps turning him down. There is a lot of action and they both go above and beyond to pull this off. Parts of this are laugh out loud funny. Some are sad because of the people who feel she is beneath them.I enjoyed Aiden and Frankie .Secondary characters add much to the story. Frankie,s family are quite intertaining especially her brothers. I enjoyed this book more than any I have read in a long time. I recommend it. It kept my attention - I couldn't put it down.

New fave KU romance author
Lucy Score is my new favorite Kindle unlimited romance author. She has a wonderful knack for combining humor and angst in a way that has you falling in love with her characters. I’ve read a few of her books and I’ve enjoyed every one of them. She has created moments that had me fighting back tears as well as moments that made me *actually* laugh out loud. She’s great with the steamy scenes that are actually titillating, and don’t leave you wanting more. I mean, it’s not PRN but she knows how to season her books for some spice ;-)One of my least favorite aspects of the majority of the KU romance novels out there is the alternating first person POV. It just doesn’t flow smoothly when reading, and I can’t kelp but think it feels amateurish as a writing style for a published book… acceptable for a fan fiction but not so for printed works. At least stick with a single character POV if you *must* write in first person (pardon my personal rant.) So far, from what I’ve read, Lucy seems to prefer writing in third person, which I prefer hands-down.As for this book specifically, I loved the fiery personality of Frankie and the banter between her and Aiden. The entire chain of events in the first part of the story in Barbados was pure gold. And the book is a lovely length for granting a bit of character development. Give this book and Lucy Score a try, I don’t think you will regret it.

you will love Frankie and Aiden (and pru)
Man everyone needs a friend like Pru to give you the true true.Such a sweet rom com and I pictured the oh so hotLeo Suter in his vikings facial hair and charming eyes. YumFrancesca I pictured an amalgamation of Camilla Marrone from daisy and the six, jessica rabbit, odette annabel, and sandraI loved this book! Here for it.not 5 because all the family were just too much annoyances, not enough build up for me. the reconnection at the end didn’t feel like Frankie.

The Worst Best Man- Lucy Score M/F
Haven’t read a M/F book in a good while as I find them too angsty at times. This one was in my Library and I needed to make space for my next KU read.Franchesca’s best friend Pruitt is getting married in Jamaica and all their friends are there. Franchesca is a Bridesmaid as well as being involved in the Catering. All is going well until Aidan, the Bestman and best friend of the Groom, makes a derogatory remark about Franchesca within her hearing, to the Groom and Bride. This means war to Franchesca. That’s a shame because Pruitt thought that Aidan and Franchesca would be a great match. All is not well in Aidan’s world, he is CO of the family Investment business and a billionaire, they are all part of the highest echelons of NY tight knit society. His father is divorcing his second wife, Aidan’s stepmother, and their sons Elliott is a thorn in Aidan’s side.Franchesca’ family run an Italian restaurant on the other side of tracks, her parents and two brothers are all very close and have each other’s back, always. However when the Groom is kidnapped in front of Franchesca the night before the wedding, a chain of events occur that threaten her friends future happiness. Not on Franchesca Baranski’s watch.Bridesmaid Franchesca and Bestman Aidan are forced together to try and find the Groom.I’m surprised I liked this book so much, I guess because the Female Lead Franchesca was such a strong, no nonsense, don’t mess with me or mine woman. The two MC’s were excellent and I liked both of them. This is my first book by Lucy Score and I’d recommend it to anyone who likes their M/F Romance stories.

You can take the girl out of Brooklyn but…
You can’t take Brooklyn out of the girl.If you like stories with truly strong, independent female leads then you will definitely love Franchesca. She’s smart, witty, funny, ballsy, bolshy and brilliant… but she doesn’t know where her life is heading. With her socialite best friend getting married to her über rich groom, she’s thrown from her Brooklyn background of loud and brash family dinners into a high society wedding with extremely spoiled and manipulative women who think nothing of pointing out every flaw and exploiting others for their own gain. When the wedding is jeopardised by the groom going missing hours before their nuptials, Frankie finds herself needing the help of the worst best man… Aiden. Their first meeting didn’t quite get them off to a good start when she accidentally overhears him refer to her dancing like a hooker.Frankie is constantly trying not to let Aiden’s insanely gorgeous body and beautiful face distract her from finding the groom but when they have to help each other get him back from his wannabe kidnappers, she has to give in and admit that maybe Aiden isn’t as bad as she first thought.Aiden meanwhile is making no secret of how attracted he is to the bombshell that is Frankie. She is like a breath of fresh air. Compared to the stick thin heiress’s and model like heartless temptresses he’s so used to ‘dating’. None of them has last more than a couple of months before boredom has set in, but Frankie is different. She makes him feel things he’s never felt before or ever realised that he wanted. The trouble is that Frankie has her Leary so well guarded, Aiden is struggling to convince her to let be anything more than the bringer of many org@sms. So used to women falling at his feet and wanting to get his ring on their finger, Aiden accepts the challenge to make Frankie bring down her walls. It’s a battle, but certainly not one that Aiden isn’t going to win or go down fighting in the attempt to make Frankie his.The juxtaposition this story throws up is I think what makes it so appealing. In this story, Frankie isn’t the needy, brooding, lovestruck girl… she’s fighting her feelings every step of the way… much to the annoyance of her brothers and her friend, Pru. With their support and encouragement, Aiden finally manages to get her to give in to his charms and allow herself to let him in.But, there’s always that villain waiting in the wings to throw a spanner in the works and this story definitely has that stomach dropping moment when everything falls apart and it seems all is lost. Will Frankie be able to forgive Aiden? Is it really Aiden that needs to be forgiven? Or does she need to accept her own guilt? Will she accept the past and move forward?Great story. Loved Aiden and Frankie’s relationship and how they bounce off each other. Highly recommended read.

Another great Lucy Score book
I'm not sure what I'm going to do when I get to the end of Lucy Score's back catalogue, she's just so good at what she does.Romcoms, romances in general, yeah they're all pretty formulaic but Lucy Score manages to put normal behaviours and reactions into her main characters even when the circumstances are crazy. It gives her stories heart and makes you care what happens, and this book was no exception.I loved Frankie and her no bs stance. The support characters were great and I flew through this whole book

Pretty Woman type love story
If you loved Pretty Woman you will enjoy this book too.Very well written with great lead characters especially Frankie. So fierce and stubborn when the man she wants to hate she can only lust over.A true love story but definitely not your typical cosy up love story. This is definitely a lot more made up, after all how many billionaires get together with a downtown Brooklyn girl?I really enjoyed this easy, fun and entertaining read. A super book to forget all your responsibilities and just enjoy a bit of billionaire lifestyle.Kerry Kennedy Author

Rough start,decent end
I really disliked the first 45% of this book. I disliked both main characters immensely and felt the story was as good as over from how much had happened. It was a struggle to keep reading and I put it down a few times. The second half of the book was so much better, it should have been the full book in my opinion. The main characters felt more like real people and not exaggerated versions to become reactions, the storyline was full and enjoyable. Although some things the heroine did was still frustrating, I think it all flowed better than the first half of the book.
