Awesome pillow! Now I don't use memory foam or other pillows. Here is why :
Over the last 15 years I have used:1. 3 different kinds of foam or memory foam pillows (including an expensive Tempur-Pedic). They are OK, but take TOO MUCH SPACE when traveling, a bit heavy. Most importantly, the shape is not flat at the seat side. Even when flat it is TOO THICK for me, and makes it uncomfortable.2. 2 different kinds of Inflatable pillows. I liked them less than memory foam. Because the finish is plasticky and do not deflate quickly. This pillow seems to be a good compromise. It DEFLATES QUICKLY (5 sec). It becomes FLAT. It is very light. The finish is velvet soft. I normally carry it in my cargo pants pocket. And pass through TSA routine with it in my pocket (!). I pull it out when seated at the plane/bus/train and it takes 2 breaths (literally) and 5 seconds to INflate it and 5 seconds to DEflate it, when needed.CONS: It's velvet finish becomes it's disadvantage over time. My pillow collects dirt and lints when pulled out of pocket again and again. This can be expected. And buying a replacement would not be expensive.

High quality for what it is
This product has good and bad points. The thing is, with any type of inflatable pillow, there is bound to be some air loss over time. I think this is just a fact about this type of product. If you can easily inflate and deflate something, it will lose air when pressure is constantly applied (when in use). If there is an inflatable pillow out there that doesn't lose air over time, please let me know because I have looked. In any case, I bought this pillow after reading tons of reviews because I was going on my first lengthy flight alone. I was very nervous and now that I'm getting a little older (30), I thought why not do what I could to make the travel a little easier on me. I went to South Africa in June and took 4 flights to get there, the longest being about 17 hours. I needed something small enough to fit into my bag, so it was important to me that it was a pillow I could easily inflate and deflate. I certainly didn't want to be the person on the plane bothering the people around me by manipulating something large, awkward, or hard to use. The design of this pillow was appealing to me and the reviews that I read suggested that this pillow would fit what I was looking for well, and it did. Overall, I was very pleased with this pillow as it allowed me to sleep for a few hours at a time.Pros: It is incredibly fast and easy to inflate and deflate. It takes me two breaths to fully inflate the pillow and about two seconds to fully deflate. It comes in a handy pouch which is small enough to fit into a side pocket of my travel bag. There was even enough room in the pouch for my eye mask, which I found convenient. For me, it was well shaped and comfortable around my neck. That might not be the case for a male, I do not know. The material was fairly soft, being a somewhat fuzzy material...just enough so that you aren't resting your skin on straight plastic.Cons: It isn't entirely reasonable for me to take away a whole star for this (would do half if I could) because I'm not sure it is possible to not have this happen, but after a couple hours, the pillow started to sag a little bit and it would wake me up. I want to note that I have a hard time sleeping even in my bed, so I have never been able to sleep on an airplane before. If you don't wake up as easily as I do, it might not be a problem for you.Tip: A couple of times, instead of wearing it around my neck, I put it on my tray table and covered it with the airplane blanket and used it as a pillow that way. By using a couple of different sleeping positions, it was a little easier on my back.

Restful, Supportive, Good Quality
Spent several days reviewing users' comments on various neck pillows. Generally, you get what you pay for. This Lewis N Clark was not the most expensive, but fell in the mid-price range. Though not spelled out in detail on the Amazon summary, this unit is heavy vinyl, with an outer fabric cover that can be removed and washed. The fabric cover means there's no irritating sweaty feeling on your deck while you're dozing on your 8-hour flight to Europe (or worse). The pressure release valve is amazing, and makes it extremely easy to just press, and a little bit of the air pressure is reduced. You don't have to take the pillow down, then look for some complicated valve, release it, then put it back hoping you've released the right amount. This release mechanism enables you to just touch it while it's still behind your head. Very convenient. The pillow is a generous size (at least for me) and it all folds up into the nylon pouch for easy stuffing in your pocket, purse, or carry-on bag. I've owned cheaper ones before, but I'm glad I got this one with much better quality. Highly recommended.

Washable cover warning
Bought this for occasional travel and regular platelet donations twice/month, so it gets a lot of use. When I opened the package, the hinge to the inflation port cap was broken and in pieces but the cap was still usable. Inflated easily (required a little more than the 2 breaths advertised), deflated easily, and was comfortable; the inflation level was easily adjustable. Unfortunately, the second time testing inflation, the flap on the cap (that you grab to pull the cap off) broke off but the cap was still usable. I took the machine washable cover off to check removal and replacement - both were very easy. That said, securing the cover back to the inflation port was not possible, as the gasket was stretched from a single removal from the port neck. The gasket would no longer secure the fabric cover to the pillow. If the cover gasket had done its job, I would have kept the pillow despite the broken cap. Glad I tested it out before I needed to use it. Rather, I returned it immediately and followed the advice “you get what you pay for.”

Packaging changed
Over the years I have ordered this multiple times, due to losing it/or misplacing it and so on. It always inflated well, deflated and was super portable. They have changed this! It used to fold into a tiny cloth bag, now you are meant to fold it into a pocket on its own velveteen sleeve.. meaning when not in use, the material you put your face against rubs up against all kinds of nasties. I mean, flying, right? Gross people smells and sweats and sticky thing. Not pleased at all.. The pillow still has the great valve, but even here, the seal is a black plastic rather than a pink rubber and attached loosely and fell onto the ground.

The adjustable option is great. It allows you to get into the right ...
I can't travel without this now. I sit smugly at the gate watching other airline travellers with their bulky alternatives knowing that I have something in my case which does the same and doesn't have to be carried separately all the way through the airport. The adjustable option is great. It allows you to get into the right position and then adjust the air so that it's comfortable. It thus far hasn't deflated even on long haul flights and at the end of the flight it's surprisingly easy to deflate and put away.

Easy to use
Like it promises - easy to inflate and then deflate for storage. Its a little short... or I have a thick neck? So not sure if it will fall off while I'm sleeping on a long flight.

Excellent
Excellent, I had couple for the past 8-9 years but they started to have leaks. I have purchased 2 to replace them. I use one at the movie theater also, not just on holidays.

Comfortable but bad rubber
It is a very comfortable and easy to blow up but the cover for the air inlet started breaking apart like it was dried out.
