Professor Cornelius Ampleforth 2014 Sloe Gin, 500ml

By all accounts, I do not drink alcohol, but I was still happy to buy this as a gift for my brother. Both he and his son work in the hospitality industry - and both of them agreed that this is one of the nicest gins they had tasted in a long time. Seems to mix well as a cocktail and the fact that it is made with sloe berries as opposed to juniper berries give it a delightful and distinguished taste (going by what they said of course, I never tried it). So where a potential customer will take the word of a person who has not tried it or not, I am not sure, but my brother is hard to please with items such as this, so if he is over the moon with it, I usually take it as gospel that it is fabulous. Hope ya'll enjoy it as much as he did!

Lovely and smooth with a very fruity taste with just a very slight hint of juniper.My favourite sloe gin. :-)

Somewhat pricey, but a very nice sloe gin that made a good present. The bottle is nicely done and the sloe gin is a much lighter, less syrupy version of Gordon's, so makes a pleasant change. I would buy this again.

Lovely flavour, smooth and a little syrupy. Similar to Sipsmith in quality but more unusual, so good when you are hosting. Lots of quality gins have a silly pricetag but this one is tasty, distinctive and good value. Have bought this for a friend and will be buying again!

Read the reviews and glad I did my gin lover friend got this for Christmas and it went down a treat even I like it and I do not like Gin. Brilliant served with ice cold lemonade, went down a right treat.

Not the best slow gin we have tried. But other may like it more than we did.

Absolutely full of flavor. Not too sweet. Tangy sloe taste. Completely yummy. Can’t wait to get a second bottle. A++
