Nutri-Cal (4.25 oz paste) by VETOQUINOL

This is an excellent product and, although it's mainly marketed towards cats and dogs, it's particularly useful for treating smaller animals too; we've used Nutrical to treat many rats over the years.If they're prescribed medicine, we tend to mix it with baby food (no added salt or sugar to worry about) but Nutrical really comes in handy when you need to get calories into them quickly. If they're recovering from an operation and have gone off their food for a short period after anaesthetic, a small amount of Nutrical gets a large amount of calories into them and they love the taste of it too.

I bought this for my 1year old Lhasa Apso. He has always been a fussy eater and I used to worry about how much goodness he was getting out of the little food he did eat. He loves this product and his appetite has improved no end since starting it, his coat is looking so much better as well.

This product seems OK "But" I bought this for my pregnant Chihuahua as she's not eating good ATM and for some reason she came out in blisters after giving her the Nutri gel, the little blister looked like small burn the one's fulled with fluid, After the first time this happened i stopped giving it to her and waited till they cleared up which took about 3 days after 5 days i tried her with it again and the same result, this may be a reaction to her mixed up hormones,, i will try again after she has had her puppies 27/2 so maybe a week after this date.Updated: After my Chihuahua had the pups she was ok to have the Nutri cal and no blister come back, also i have changed the star rating to 5 from 3. Great probuct, just was not sutable for my bread of dog in pregnancy.

i have staffy and he eats raw meat and sometimes some canned food, he suffers skin allergies and other problems and raw meat has cured 95% of his problems and saved me hundreds of pounds from rip off vets, i needed some vitamins and something to replace excess fillers from canned and dry food which is mostly crap inside, raw meat is far superior and i feed him nutri cal twice a day over the last 5 weeks and i swear he gets some energy and he had some issues with lower lip bacteria for ages and antibiotics help for a while and then it comes back, nutri cal also cured that and u can tell he is more livelier than ever and his coat is fantastic.a must buy.

i was pleased to have something to give my fussy dog when he first came to live with us. I now have 2 dogs and he eats well after watching the other one.

Brilliant product, gives my 2 yorkie girls an appetite. They have a tiny amount before food several times a week.

first time I have ever used this product as I have a very fussy eater, she was not that keen at first but after a few attempts it worked ok

My little Yorkshire Terrier is a very poor eater and when was mated she went off her food altogether. I was worried that I would lose her and the puppies but I had ordered Nutriplus gel and as soon as she had it she was so much better.It is about the only thing that she will eat willingly. She has it twice a day about a teaspoonful and she licks it off my fingers. I dont mind this if it makes her happy.It is a bit expensive but well worth it and hopefully she will produce healthy pups. It smells like bovril and sometimes when you squeeze the tube just liquid comes out and this is horrible when it happens and I don't know what I can do about that.All round an excellent product
