Blackspur - Long Shackle Steel Weatherproof Padlock - 4cm - Yellow

Ok i know these locks are only chepos and ive purchased several in the past with no issues, but this one is a royal pain in the A%%$^ you have to have the key in the lock and turn the key to close the clasp, with out the key in and turned you cannot lock the clasp.The weatherproofing is the same as with all the other blackspur locks which is normally adequate but this lock is different, the weatherproofing fails are everypoint and even tho the lock has only been outside for less then a week its showing signs of rust already:-(time to find another cheap brand of locks as it looks like Blackspur are slipping with there standards

Logo printed poorly and not straight. Needed to replace padlock for few days at work and it arrived next day. Wasn't expecting top range quality for this price. Sometimes it need few wiggles to unlock but it does the job so far

First one seemed to be ok at first, after about 2 weeks lock became very stiff and hard to unlock, not weatherproof as advertised. Became very hard to lock and unlock. Then started to unlock by itself, first time it happened thought I had forgot to lock it, but happened a few times. Spoke to Amazon who sent a replacement lock, this was worse. Opened it and struggled to put the key in the lock. Was impossible to unlock, contacted Amazon who then gave me a full refund

Only used once then the lock totally failed.We had to cut it off to get in the shed.

Do not use if you have any problems with your hands as it is very tricky to unlock. Once on it works very well but getting it to unlock has taken a lot of perseverance and patience. Need to really push the key hard to depress the lock for it to open, so not going to use it in the colder weather.

Only downside is that both locks bought have the same key! Not great if a neighbour bought the same lock.

These were cheap - but I guess you get what you pay for. Lasted just under a year.They did a good job of locking my ladders to the garage wall to be fair. Unfortunately, weatherproof they are not. Both padlocks corroded. Penetrating fluid used to no avail, so out came the bolt croppers.Both padlocks now for the bin!

Bought to practice lockpicking. Turns out if you wiggle the core with the tension wrench or even just a small screwdriver, it unlocks quite easily.Didn't even need to pick it properly, just stick something like a screwdriver in and repeatedly return it back and forwards and it just clicks open.
