No, the face plate for the mortise lock assembly is five and a half inches in length. The two back plates for each of the doorknobs and keyholes are seven inches in length.

Is this lock available with the latch reversed, or do I need to switch it myself?

You have to swap it yourself. One screw holds it together and to reverse, you just unscrew it, flip the latch and close it. I had to do this for my bathroom.
