Ovation Celebrity Collection 12 String Acoustic-Electric Guitar, Right, Black, Mid Depth Body (CE4412-5)

bought this about a year ago. it had some fret buzz on the lower two courses. i tried adjusting it out by a few quarter-turns on the truss rod, no luck. now i decided to replace the strings and once again took the backplate off to try and get it to stop buzzing. overall i turned the nut 4 times counterclockwise, 1/4 turn each or so, and there was no problem with the allen wrench going in. but it wasn't working, again, so i turned it back to see if and how it got worse. it did. but. i went to return it to the relief i had gotten before, which just wasn't enough, and the wrench wouldn't go in. the picture shows why. i've loosened the strings again thinking it would come back up, then to try and back it out enough to get back in there before tightening it up some, but it won't do it. i don't know if the truss rod is broken or what, but fixing guitars is not what i paid for ...

The Ovation Celebrity 12 string is a smooth playing guitar. The mid depth rounded body is comfortable and makes the guitar easier to play. The neck feels more like an electric than acoustic guitar. The tone is rich and beautiful.

I've been playing for around 40 years and I knew going in that this was a less expensive, made in China guitar. I needed something more road worthy than my Martin. However, the QC on this was pretty bad. The missing screw on one of the tuning machines is the least of it. I'll contact Ovation for that. The big deal was how tight the truss rod was. I wasn't sure if I'd ever get the neck to lay down. After a couple hours of work though it did lay down and now plays beautifully. Just know that you're in for some setup time or a trip to your local Luther. Fortunately for me I have the know how and can work on my own. This gets my collection up to about 20 guitars but only my second 12 string. Overall it's a nice guitar after putting in some work.

I own several guitars but this one has become one of my favorites. Love everything about it.

Cracked from bridge to bottom

This guitar is supposed to be a 12 string guitar according to item number, photo and after talking to a representative at amazon who assured me it was, however the description said it was a 6 string which I do not want. I definitely want the 12 string with this design. I’ll add more stars if I get the right one.
