Boyd Chemiclean Red Cyano Bacteria Remover Treatment - 2 grams

I had a really stubborn cyano problem in my reef for years that I just couldn't get rid of. I finally decided to try chemi clean. I followed the directions for dosing and just took the cup off my skimmer and let the water run back into the sump for aeration. It took 3-4 days for the cyano to die. Then I did a series of large water changes over the course of a week. It took about 10 days before I could use my skimmer normally again since it would just foam up and overflow immediately, even on the lowest setting. I did not lose any coral, fish, anemones, crustaceans, or other livestock during the treatment. Months later I still have no cyano issues and the tank looks great. I highly recommend this product.

This product worked great and fast.

Had a fairly decent red cyano outbreak in my nano. Followed the directions. Added and airstone a day before applying powder.For me, it was one scoop. The scoop is MICRO. But somehow, within 48 hours, my rock and sand were as clean as day 1. Awesome stuff!

I had an outbreak of red slime that started taking over my tank. it was everywhere that the current flow was low. I added the chemiclean to my tank along with an airstone as instructed on the back of the packaging. After day 1, nothing appeared to happen. On day two when I looked at my tank ALL OF THE RED SLIME WAS GONE!. Every single bit of it. No need for a second application. I did have a bit of excess foaming in my protein skimmer for a couple days afterward, but that wasn't a very big issue, I just needed to clean it a about twice a day for a couple days after the treatment. None of my fish, crabs, shrimp, snails, or corals seemed to suffer from the treatment.Very few things in my reef keeping have worked as well for me as Boyd Chemiclean. Highly recommended.

Excellent product. Worked wonders against red slime (Cyanobacteria) that had taken over my reef tank.
