Well made all good. The only minor issue for me is that it's too slow to find North for my liking. But for most people I'm sure it will be fine.

Easy to carry cute little thing

It took me a while to find a simple compass that gets the job done. Here it’s.

The idea of this compass is better than the actual product.Its good features are that it is reasonably robust, water resistant and is attached to a carabiner which can act as a keyring or as a loop to hang it on your bag. It also comes in a small pouch and is nicely boxed.Unfortunately the compass’ ability to point to magnetic north is firstly compromised by the fact that you have to hold it extremely flat to allow the pointer to rotate properly. It will then point to somewhere that isn’t the same north that other compasses point to! So it’s a bit of effort to get it to point somewhere that isn’t quite north.I have not really had this issue with other compasses I’ve used. It’s a shame really as it’s a nice looking portable compass that doesn’t do what it is designed to do particularly well.At the price you pay for this, there are quite a few other types on Amazon which are possibly worth looking at instead of this one. The one star I’ve given this is for the carabiner and the nice presentation…

It is what it is and seems accurate for checking maps and if lost on a trek.

This keyring compass is not much more than a quirky gift that you mightfind in a Christmas cracker.Not very accurate.

Over the years it often came up which way was North, South East West etc. Si couldn't find a compass locally but Amazon seems to have them in stock. So I bought this one because it was small with a key ring and was reasonably priced. Its amazing how often you take it out to check which way is North etc. It is as accurate as can be expected based on the principle that it always indicates North. Only downside is I thought it was fairly pricey.

Nice and compact, handy hanging carabiner is a bonus. Clear to read and great quality materials.
