Best walking shoe around
This is my 2nd pair of Keen walking shoes, these Targhee are so comfortable, they have a wide toe box so plenty of wiggle room for toes and a thick sock, they're also a wide fit.Completely waterproof but I do spray with a waterproof treatment every 3mths. Can't recommend highly enough.

Overall, a great shoe
As noted by another reviewer, these only lasted about 6 months (I purchased them in June 2024). Bearing in mind that I only walk my dogs twice a day for approximately 35 minutes each walk, and usually only on pavement, that's not great (which is why I've removed 1 star). But I'll come back to that..I'm 43 years old and have been searching for, ohhh let's see here, nearly 43 years.. for a shoe that fits, is comfortable, doesn't leave blisters, is waterproof.. It's taken this long to find it. I did immediately consider sending them back when I first tried them on. There is a bit of rub around the ankle at first, but that stopped after a couple of days, and it never left blisters. The shape of this shoe is also ugly as hell, but when your feet have suffered for this long, you learn to embrace practicality over aesthetics. This is the first shoe I've ever purchased, which claimed to be waterproof and actually followed through on that promise. In the beginning, it seems to be fully water proof, whether walking through puddles or even in heavy rain. That does diminish after a few wears, but not by too much. I'm not a toddler, I don't go splashing in puddles, and at my age, I'm also "smart enough to come in out of the rain". So reduced waterproofing isnt an issue. These shoes are still holding their own against the wet in thick sodden grass and in a moderate rain, which is all I've ever asked for...As mentioned, 6(ish) months in, and the shoes need replacing. The sole near the heel is worn down almost to the inner sole, and there's evidence of the part of the sole nearest the toe coming away from the upper. In spite of this, I find that I really *really* like wearing comfortable shoes. So, I will be buying these again, as often as I need to.It would be fantastic if the company would improve the longevity of the shoe, even if it meant charging a little more.

Good comfortable trainers
Good comfortable trainers. I have the boots they are lightweight and durable. I have worn them all winter walking my dog daily, so I have treated myself to a new pair for this winter. I found the grip is very good. Highly recommend them.

Amazing shoes, I feel like I have waited my whole life for them.
So, let me paint you a picture of shoes so ridiculous, that no mortal shoe has been found that make this woman sigh in comfort. I have a high instep, massively wide feet and for reasons known only to the mystics, my little toes turn out. I'm also a size 7. As you can imagine it's almost impossible for me to even pick out a pair of trainers.I have looked at Keen's shoes over the years and always thought them to look narrow and therefore be for the gifted of slim, beautiful feet. So, I decided to give these a chance, purely based on reviews -' I can send them back" was my thought.Awaiting torturous pain, I put these shoes straight on, then went for a 7 mile rough terrain walk. When I took them off later, I did not limp out of them. These shoes are beyond the limits of perfection. They are sturdy and fix my feet in place, they are fully waterproof and the laces do not budge. I genuinely don't think I have ever had a pair of shoes that fit this well in my life and I have spent fortunes.I am now looking up to see what other shoes they do, because I'm going fully Keen for everything. Boots for winter, sandals, heck, if they do a trainer, I'm having them!!If it's at all a downside, they are VERY wide fit, so unless you have potatoes for feet as I do, you will have to wear thick socks.

Comfortable
These were wide & comfortable but lasted less than six months. Not cheap so disappointing. The sole wore out quickly, & the inner heels went after about three months. They also stopped being waterproof. I shall go back to Merrells.

Good supportive shoe
These felt a bit clunky when I first put them on but after my first walk in them I've decided that I'm going to buy this brand forever. They support my flat feet and give me plenty of room to wiggle my toes. They have a wide toe which is great for bunion sufferers. They didn't slip on the wet grass and were very stable through the muddy puddles. My feet were dry! I thought I might miss the cushioning of the brand that I normally buy but a good fit is more important and the insole in these gives support rather than squish. Hope they last a long time, they certainly look like they should.

Wide fit, comfortable
I use my boots twice every day to walk my dog in all sorts of weather and terrain. This is my first pair of Keen boots and I bought them based on the fact that they are wide fit and comfortable. They are not the most stylish of boots being quite chunky and manly looking, but they are very comfortable and I cannot feel any rough terrain when walking. They were a bit uncomfortable around the ankles at first, but after a week they have softened. I haven’t tested them in really wet weather yet, but otherwise I’m very happy with them.
