I gave this heated scoop as a mother's day present. Everyone in my family loves ice cream.My sister LOVES the ease of using this scoop. Being over 70... massive failno on off switchwhen setting on the counter to charge it turned itself on and melted the surface.When I tried it on frozen ice cream it failed to generate enough thermal energy to actually workIn my considered opinion this is a product that does not function., and is probably dangerous. It needs an on off switch and it needs to get hot enough to actually scoop frozen product. It has not the first and is incapable of the latter.

It's incredibly convenient for ice cream. Panther, it was so uncomfortable. I had to constantly dip a spoon in hot water. And now you just heat the spoon and the ice cream is perfectly applied with a spoon. It heats up quite quickly. Wireless. And it holds the charge for a long time.

I like ice cream and keep it in our freezer all the time. Getting it out of its container is often very hard to do. The idea that a heated scoop would make it easy sounded good. Unfortunately, this scoop didn't work very well for me. It takes what seems like a long time to heat up then it doesn't seem to help much in scooping the ice cream out of the carton. It may be that I just keep my ice cream very cold and this might work better for other people. The lip of the scoop is thicker than the one on the other scoops I own which doesn't help.
