We absolutely love this model. The craftsmanship and detail that went into making this is magnificent. My wife and I are building our son's nursery, so we were looking for something that would add color and "pop" to the room, without having to spend so much or paint the walls. The blue and cream stripes of the balloon, combined with a rattan like basket contrasts well against the boring white walls. Its a great focal point, as we hung it at the corner, opposite the door. It is the first thing that people notice when they walk into the room. We were worried that the 12.6" balloon that we purchased would be too small, but it was actually the perfect size for a room that is about 11'x11'.

I purchased the large blue/white balloon to use as a prop at our local Dickens Christmas Fair when discussing the ballooning with visitors. I was looking for a balloon model that resembled a Victorian hot air balloon and, after viewing many other models and manufacturers, chose this one, since there are no other models out there as detailed and beautiful as this one. The Authentic Models replica is very well constructed and quite detailed -- it has hand-knotted netting over the balloon bag, a wicker basket complete with ballast bags, and a small pennant. It turned out to be a great conversation starter! The balloon comes packed in a separate cardboard box that includes a custom styrofoam form that wraps around and protects the balloon while being stored. The balloon bag itself is rigid, with the basket suspended below it by ropes. (The balloon will not stand on its own and must be hung.) For display purposes, I purchased a wall-mounted Panacea 85014 Plant Bracket (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001D1X1HO/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_17) which complements the balloon perfectly. After the Christmas Fair ends, I plan to display this balloon at home and, perhaps, purchase another one (or two) smaller balloons to hang with it. (NOTE: The smaller balloons do not have the little ballast bags.)

We purchased two of these balloons in two different colors to use on our O gauge train layout. The baloons are a bit large for O gauge trains which are roughly 1:48 scale, however they look great on the layout. I am guessing that the balloons are rougly 1:32 scale. We have them suspended over the circus area. These baloons are made very well, highly detailed, and very striking. The balloons are often the first thing that people notice when entering the train room.

I was love this and even though I analyzed the measurements, this is bigger than I expected. I also bought the smaller size in green - and that one is smaller than i expected. These are for my toddler's room and they look great! Also, this is random, but the smaller one doesn't have the cute little sand bags hanging over the side.

This balloon is great, I don't have anything negative to say about it at all. Mine arrived in good condition. All the netting was in great shape , the basket and little sand bags were perfect. The blue is a royal, primary blue shade, not too bright but not muted either. The cream color is aged looking and gives it character. I was able to hang it without any difficulty, even came with clear fishing line. I'm looking to get one in another color, just can't make up my mind. If your on the fence, just do it! I looked at these for a year before I pulled the trigger and I'm so glad I did.

Really small and balloon is made of plastic. Not worth the money.

These are darling, they are very well made and look beautiful in my boys room. They arrived on time and packaged with great care. When I ordered I was not sure as I thought they were expensive but they are worth every penny beautifully crafted and we are ordering more we are so happy with them.

Manufactured with great attention to detail, this vintage balloon escaped from «Five Weeks in a Balloon » or « Mysterious Island » came to join the Nautilus from «20,000 Leagues under the Sea » in my Jules Verne’s corner of my home cinema. Wonderful collection piece for lovers of the Victorian era !

Très très beau produit cette montgolfière, de qualité superbe. 32 cm finalement est plus grand que prévu avec la nacelle à rajouter en taille. Meme la ficelle d'attache au plafond est belle ! Très bonne livraison dans 2 cartons avec globe enroulé dans polystyrene pour sa protection, livraison impeccable par leur livreur. Joli design, tel qu'on le voyait sur le site. Époustouflant ! Cher mais ca les vaut.
