Kyser: Dr Stringfellow String Cleaner And Lubricant. For Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar

I don't see this as a cleaner even though it is. I use it only because of the feel it gives to the strings. So smooth and hopefully slows fret wear, which is a constant worry.The old Kyser string cleaner lubricant did it's job and for me was better than any other product of it's like but if applied too heavily it felt like the strings tightened and didn't respond as I would like. This new version feels and plays at least just as well and so far has not tightened the feel at all. Put on sparingly (mist from distance rather than close squirt, wet the cloth, rub in and let completely dry for full effect). I will buy again. Great on maple fret board which is lacquered.

Not a fantastic smell but does the job sufficiently. Might be better to spray a cloth and then apply to the strings to get a better coverage. You’ll see what I mean. I’ve used fast fret but they can dry out over time.Overall it will do the trick.

I like to clean my strings with a spray, after I play, and I think Kyser spray works well. Hopefully adding to the longevity of the strings. There doesn't seem to be many string sprays out there.

Does what it should

Slippy strings and hopefully longer lasting on the lap steel. Spray into a cloth first then I wipe. You could fight off assailants with one spray of this ,or kill off the inhabitants of a lake probably. Best not to use in enclosed spaces I would suggest. Read the hazard warning on the bottle!
