Great Value, Accurate and Easy to Use
I've quite a few tuners I've bought over the years.I've even still got my A440 tuning fork I used to used to tune my classicals. My other electronic tuners have always been a bit of a 'faff'.Electric guitar - mess about with cables.Acoustics - balance the tuner so it can 'hear' the guitar and make sure it's pretty quiet where you are. This little gadget is brilliant. Clip it on the headstock and away you go - doesn't matter if it's electric or acoustic.Using 'Guitar Mode' - it identifies the string being tuned and turns green when in tune.I've checked it against my other more expensive tuners and it's spot on.Chromatic, Guitar, Bass, Violin and Ukulele modes - everything you could want! And so cheap - what's not to like.

Excellent for a complete guitar beginner!
This device is brilliant for someone new to playing a guitar. My dad bought me a guitar when I was 12 years old and due to the Coronavirus lock down, 30 years later I thought I would bring it down from the loft and give it a go. I inserted the battery and it came on straight away. Used the clip to put it on the top end of the guitar but the first string (low E) was showing as G! I went into panic mode and went straight to youtube to find answers. To cut a long story short it turns out that you have to keep turning the 'guitar tuners' at the top till the electric tuner changes to the correct letter. This set me off in another panic as my guitar was so out of tune I thought I was gonna snap the strings when turning. Luckily I persevered and managed to re tune all 6 strings (whilst holding my breath). Its It's a lot smaller than I imagined, but I would never have been able to tune my guitar without it!

Tiny, easy to use.
Wow - it really is small, but the screen is very easy to read. The ukulele photo doesn't prepare you for how tiny this is. I'd be frightened to take this to a gig for fear of losing it! Too big to slip in your jeans but too small for a gig bag!But for home use, permanently clipped to a one of my guitars, this is great.Lots of instructions, using a lot of words to explain how to put the battery in and switch it on, but absolutely NOTHING about using any of the different modes! It's easy enough to work out though. They have certain modes for certain instruments that are tuned to specific frequencies, I'm guessing that is so it isn't hunting all over trying to guess which note you want, making for more efficient tuning. Plus there is a mode for any frequency, which works for higher notes as well (it detected octave harmonics and twelfth fret notes no problem).C - chromatic / all notesG - guitar standard - looks for EADGBEB - bassUc- ukulele tuned in CUd- ukulele tuned in DVery easy to use. It didn't have any problem picking up the notes on two types of guitar and ukulele.I've been using an app for tuning and, while it is free, it's not that easy and needs a quiet room. As the Ammoon is attached to the headstock it works of the neck vibrations rather than the sounds so should be less affected by other things going on.The background goes from blue to green to give a reassurance you are in tune - good for those of us with older eyes.Build-wise, it's small and plastic, and the handy swivel and tilt bracket will be the first thing to go if you are a bit accident-prone. One swipe in the wrong direction and I reckon it will be a goner, but with care this will be fine for home use.

Not For Bass Guitar
This wee tuner is very small, but the screen is nice and sharp and the notes appear crisp and black against the backlit display. The tuner has several modes, but I was only using it with electric guitar and bass. There is a mode for guitar, which worked well. But chromatic seems to work just as well, and might be more useful if you are using alternative tunings. In bass mode the tuner did well with the top two strings, but it struggled with the A and E strings. It did work better in chromatic mode, but even that couldn't catch the low B.There's a single button to toggle on and off (both long presses) and swap between modes (single short press), and the overall construction is great. The screen is plastic, but not flimsy, and the securing clip has plenty of grip. As well as a graphical pitch indicator the whole screen changes colour (from blue to green) to show when pitch is reached.Cheap, reasonable quality and functional, but bass players should look elsewhere.

Great little tuner.
Bought this for my husband who has resumed playing his electric and acoustic guitars during lockdown (he used to play semi-professionally). Felt sorry for him using a online tuner! I used to work in the live music industry as a sound engineer and would often see these little tuners clipped to headstocks if guitarists didn't have a guitar tech. Had no idea how effective they were as the industry standard were strobe tuners and the ubiquitous Boss tuner used inline with pedals (for example).Reading the positive reviews I decided to get one for him and he is absolutely chuffed to bits with it! It's the dinkiest thing and a cinch to use straight out of the (tiny) box. An absolute bargain and very much recommended!

Works but issue with battery cover
On me fiddle, it appears to work OK. The main problem is with the battery compartment. It won't shut properly so I've had to put a small elastic band around it to hold it on. Not ideal, but it seems to work. Without doing this, the cover keeps popping open and the battery comes out. I think it is somethoing to do with the catches on the cover itself, they appear to be too small. Wouldn't buy another one.

Spot on!
This tuner works 100%, can't fault in any way at all!Simply clip on to your instrument and then it tells you if your tuning is off.Great build quality and has rubber on the clips so that it won't scratch your guitar.Has a few really cool features;Turns off automatically after a few minutes to save batteryScreen is blue, but turns green when it's spot on tuning!
