This is a fun little kit!
I gave this set five stars, not because it's perfect, but because it does exactly what I expected it to do. It is not a replacement for a real drum set. You have to look at it with realistic expectations. There is a bit of a learning curve, because you're trying to hit imaginary drums and cymbals in the air. I bought this due to the portability and because it looked fun. I also bought it as a bit of a cardio exercising tool as it is convenient and gets me moving my arms and legs, while having fun at the same time. The set does seem durable, well made and should last a long time if you take proper care of it. I calibrate mine without the use of the map, and have been able to get good results with it. That being said, I do know how to play drums and do own a real set, so I can visualize where the drums should be without the use of the map. A complete beginner who has never played drums before, should probably use the map until they get used to where the drums should be. You do have to recalibrate the sticks occasionally, but it only takes a second and has been no big deal to me. You can use it as a midi controller with programs like Garageband, and N- Track studio, but I haven't experimented much with that yet.I did purchase the bundle with the zippered carrying case, which holds all of the components and cables quite well. It comes with two double usb A to C cables for charging, and one white usb data cable for midi connection to a computer. The controller has audio in and and out jacks for accompaniment and headphones (comes with a pair of wired earbuds). There are power, volume up/down, and a voice button to choose between the 8 programmed drum kits.Overall, I think it is a fun, useful set which would fall somewhere between a learning tool and a toy. I recommend this set to anyone who wants a convenient drum set alternative who is willing to deal with its little quirks.

I love it except the petals don’t sound strong enough for bass drum

not good. try other brands or just stick to a traditional set
faulty. everything keeps moving. i tried so many times. i can only play for a good 20 seconds and the hi hat and snare will change position and suddenly i was hitting the cymbal or the floor tom. pedals work fine, it’s just the air drum itself keeps moving around. i saw the reviews already and wanted to try it for myself. so if you’re looking for an honest review, this is it. everything keeps moving around specially the snare and hi hat

It’s a toy not an instrument
Fun Toy* less of an instrumentThere's isn't much too it 🤷🏽♂️ simple drum sticks and button foot pedals. They’re responsive enough. The apps are pretty boring and lack a lot of content. Honestly played with these for maybe a week before I completely forgot about them.Build quality seems good enough. Bluetooth connection could use some help, especially when you’re trying to sync the sticks to the app/games.Overpriced toy. I should have thought it more throughly but seems like they had a lot of YouTubers and other social media people all egging you on to get it. “ it’s super cool guys , whoa no drum set? Where’d it go “

¡Divertido!

More of a toy than a tool.
I've been drumming for 40 years. I like new gadgets. I was excited watching the numerous videos by various drummer influencers. PocketDrum is not a serious drumming tool. It's fun. But it's more of a toy than a tool. Don't expect to do any serious drumming. The main issues I experienced were 1) the drums move around after calibration. They don't stay in place. I found myself constantly recalibrating.2) The left stick favors the drums / cymbals on the left. The right stick favors the drums / cymbals on the right. For example, when playing the floor tom, the left stick often produced a snare sound, even when pushing the left stick further away than the right stick.3) The drum hits are not precise. As a studio drummer, I'm used to very tight, precise drumming. There is no way to be precise with PocketDrum. One last note - I've seen influencers suggest using PocketDrum to learn how to play drums.I'm quite disappointed to see influencers doing this. PocketDrum feels nothing like a real drum kit. If you want to learn drums, get a real drum kit.

They work
But these are the Christmas gift for my son who really wants to play the drums, and I’m just not ready to commit to a drum set that everybody can hear. He really looks adorable sitting there with his headphones on playing ‘drums’. Once I move and have more space I might take the lead for an actual drum set, but I really feel like these’ll do for now. Pretty easy to use, easy to set up, Quick pair can be used with or without the floor pedals.
