I bought this sunrise alarm clock mainly to improve my sleep routine and replace a basic bedside alarm, and it’s been a noticeable upgrade in a few areas. The sunrise light feature is probably the best part. It gradually brightens in the morning instead of a sudden alarm, which makes waking up feel a lot less harsh. It doesn’t completely replace needing an alarm sound for heavy sleep days, but it definitely helps ease into the morning better than a standard phone alarm. The sound machine feature is also surprisingly useful. There are plenty of nature sounds to choose from, and I’ve been using it mostly for white noise at night. It helps cut down on background distractions and makes it easier to fall asleep, especially when the house is quiet but not completely silent. The volume adjusts easily, and it gets loud enough to actually mask noise without sounding distorted. I also like the variety of light settings. There are a lot of color and brightness options, so it doubles as a bedside lamp if needed. The display is fully dimmable too, which is a nice touch because bright digital clocks can be annoying at night. The Bluetooth speaker is a nice bonus, though I’d say it’s more of a convenience feature than a standout one. It works fine for casual listening, but it’s not something I’d rely on for high-quality audio. If I had one complaint, it’s that the controls can take a little getting used to since there are so many functions packed into one device. It’s not difficult, but it does take a bit of time to learn where everything is. Overall, this is a solid all-in-one bedside device. It works well as a sunrise alarm, sound machine, and night light, and it’s been helpful in building a more consistent and calmer sleep routine.

I am absolutely thrilled with this gorgeous alarm (and so much more!) The design is simple -- and simplicity is elegance. There are many controls but they're easy to use and there are great instructions. The alarm light gets super bright, but it also has mood lighting -- washes of gorgeous color. Then there's the white noise, the nature sounds -- I'm listening to thunder and rain right now -- and you can use Bluetooth for music! I'm getting another one for the guest room because on top of it all, it's affordable!

If you hate the way an alarm clock jolts you awake in the morning, then this clock is for you. I LOVE THIS CLOCK! The sunrise feature is just beautiful, and you can adjust both the duration and brightness. It starts BEFORE the alarm goes off, so you basically wake gently due to the light, then your alarm goes off at the scheduled time. The alarm sounds are lovely and realistic, and they don't sound tinny or cheap. (I like the birds.) There are more sounds you can use to lull you to sleep, and you can program the clock to shut off after a certain period. Again, volume etc. is all adjustable. This clock has a million features, but the setup is super easy. One tip: read the instruction section for the setting you're working with first, then start pushing buttons. I was a little too slow, so the clock kept timing out and I had to redo it. No big deal though. The mood colors are really neat, and I LOVE the nature sounds. The white noise is pretty good too, and usually I'm not a fan. These are gentle, not annoying. This clock is equally good for children and adults , even babies. I've been wanting one of these for ages, and this clock ticked all of the boxes at a reasonable price. I am totally happy with it. I highly recommend it! UPDATE: It's May, 2026 and my clock is still running like a champ. I bought one for my sister and she absolutely loves it too. (I may have to get one for her son who also loves it and keeps pushing all of the buttons.) The wide variety of settings lets me change things up so I never get bored. Listening to the campfire sound as I fell asleep on cold winter nights was so soothing. I love the thunderstorm sound too. The mood lights are fun as well. I like to match the colors to the sound. (I hope that makes sense.) I was glad to see that this clock got so many five star reviews. Normally I'm not one to make a fuss over a product, but I am just enjoying this one so much I had to make an exception. You will not be disappointed with this clock, guaranteed! Okay, I'm done raving now.

Overall: Great user interface, and great sunrise alarm I've used this for almost a month, so here's my take: GOOD: --Amazingly simple to set time and alarms. A long press on the button on side (for either Time Setting or Alarm Setting) puts it in the mode, and a single press on button moves it through the stages: Set Hour, Set Minutes, Set Wake-up Sound, Set Sound Level, and Set Days of Week (M-F, SS, or Mon-Sun). You change each setting by just rotating the knob on the top. It's so good to have something so easy after my other alarm clock (which could only go forward, by holding down a button). --Color lights are easy to turn on, change, and turn off: just a press on the right button for On, press again to cycle through the different lights, and press and hold for Off. Simple! --All functions (Alarm sound, Color lights, etc.) stop with a 3-sec. press and hold of the button. For Alarm sound, that's the rotating knob on the top, and that's NOT hard to adjust to at all. --Sounds are also easy to turn on, both White noise and Sleep Sounds. --Sunrise simulation achieves over 300 lumens (read that on a tech journal website's review), which an esteemed newspaper in NYC says is the minimum amount you want for a true sunrise simulation wakeup. IMPROVES: --Cord from power supply to clock is only about 4' long. I can't put it on top of a chest of drawers which is about 5 1/2' tall (it's across the room, so getting out of bed for the alarm makes it easier to not fall back asleep). --Can't set any of the Sleep Sounds as a Alarm Sound. I particularly miss not being able to set Thunderstorm for a Wakeup sound on Monday mornings (it just fits). --It has a CR2032 battery inside, to save your setting if wall power goes out; but there's no way to replace this. (NOTE: This is fixed on the J8 model.) BOTTOM LINE: Yes, I recommend this alarm clock.

I cannot say enough good things about this clock. We made the right decision buying it. Everything about it is awesome and works great! From the multiple color options and lighting, to the sleep noises and natural noises you can choose, this clock is the best ever! The instructions are very specific and clear on set up and makes it very easy to understand how to work the clock. Highly recommend this!

I bought this for the sunrise feature because I’m up at 4am every day for working out before going to work. I really like that you can turn off the alarm tones and just use the sunrise feature. You’re able to control the sunrise time length too! I set mine to 30 min, so it gradually brightens starting at 3:30 am. Initial set up was effortless using the Bluetooth option. Living near the freeway, the white noise/natural sleep sound feature is great, I just saved the sound I liked. Since I set up all the features I wanted initially, the only adjustments I might need to make would be volume or turning off the alarm and those two controls are easy to feel if lights are out. The appearance looks clean and streamlined and would fit with any decor. In comparing products prior to purchase, the Jall Sunrise Alarm clock had all the features that I wanted at a fraction of the price! I’m so happy I made this purchase!

This is such a cool clock, light, Bluetooth speaker, and noise machine!! I bought it for the sunrise alarm. The light slowly brightens to your specs. I don't use the sound, just the light. It goes off an hour after it reaches full brightness (if I don't turn it off). The sound is great. I have yet to try all the functions. I like turning on the RGB light at night while watching TV. It's pretty and streamlined. The controls are pretty intuitive. (I got the white.)

I am highly skeptical of multi-use devices as that usually means that one or more aspects of its use are less than stellar. This is NOT the case with this alarm clock. My soon-to-be teenage daughter LOVES it! And so do I. It has plenty of QUALITY options for the white noise, for the nature sounds and music and for the LIGHT LEVELS which makes a HUGE difference to us, as we are both too light of sleepers and HATE jarring alarms or too bright lights. The volume control is awesome. It’s a sleek and stylish design and small enough for her nightstand while being big enough for her to notice the sunrise feature. We are VERY pleased with this purchase!
