Vauxhall Carlton MkII 2.0 CDX Diecast Model Car made by Corgi. The Vauxhall Carlton Mk2 (or Opel Omega in mainland Europe) was launched in August 1986 and shared its basic structure with GM’s larger and more luxurious Senator range. Although it used a traditional rear-wheel-drive layout it was well received by the press and was voted European Car of the Year for 1987 partly because ex-Audi aerodynamicist Hans Emmelmann had achieved an impressive lowest-in-class drag coefficient of 0.28 and an effective frontal area (CdA) of only 6.21 Sq ft.. It was offered with engines ranging from 1.8 to 3 litres and featured all round independent suspension which allowed the car to ride with great comfort and refinement whilst still handling well at high speed..
