Brilliant children's book

I bought this book for my class and they absolutely loved it! We could have planned a good two weeks worth of lessons out of this book! I now have it at home for my own children and they ask for this book over and over again at bed time!

This is such a sweet book, the story of an unloved doggy who finds her place in life. Recommended for kids and adults alike. If you're not moved by the story and the pictures of cute little Simp then you have no heart! Buy this book!

A very very favourite book from childhood for my son now a primary school teacher in Japan -he wanted some books from his childhood to read to the kids.

The first time I read this for my 3 3/4 year old, he was utterly enchanted. His words when I finished: "Read it again mammy". That's the only time that's ever happened (usually he wants another book) and says it all.

Cannonball Simp Lives! This story has been around for years and remains one of the Great Children's tales. Sad at the start but Simp winds up having a terrific ending, My Kids loved it in the early '60's.

Burningham's water colors are enchanting. The story is uplifting and Simp is to die for. Such an irresistible dog !

I received Cannonball Simp when I was a little girl in my weekly reader book club. I loved it and thought I had found a prequel or sequel. I still love this book, but was disappointed to find that Simp is the SAME book as Cannonball Simp. Now my sister can have one. Lol!
