Tripod Ladder 3m Aluminium Arborist 1 adjustable leg

Incredibly light for its stability makes it really practical. Astonishing stability - who would have thought 3 legs would be better than four! Friends who have said ‘I won’t go up it’ have put a foot on and gone right up being surprised just how steady it is and How safe they feel. I feel comfortable climbing it without anyone around to hold it which I never did on a step or wall ladder. I was a bit anxious I had ordered one too tall - it’s 3m and looks enormous. It’s height is not adjustable. However, you Are advised not to step above 4 Rungs from the top and there is a handy warning label On that step. This makes it the perfect size for picking fruit from my trees. I have only used in on bumpy grass -where it was perfect, not hard surfaces. I haven’t needed to adjust the leg. A wise investment if you are needing to use ladders. I will now be clearing my own gutters too as wobbly ladders is what previously deterred me.

I have a tall hedge that has progressively got out of control through neglect. Having retired, I decided to tackle it. I have a step ladder and a separate platform to help, which I have used in the past, but always felt unsafe on them due to stability issues, particularly as part of my garden is on a slope with difficult access in parts due to surrounding shrubs - particularly when using power tools. I started to use a step ladder to cut my hedge and a neighbour saw and lent me these steps - what a difference, instantly stable and the adjustable third leg provides flexibility on slopes. Exteremely well made, so I tracked down and purchased the same model. Seems a lot to pay for a step ladder, but it is no ordinary step ladder, and cheaper than hospital bills ! I cannot fault it.

Excellent product. Very light to move from one place to another. Strong and sturdy, feels very safe when climbing steps. Easily adjusted back leg of tripod construction for changes in slope of garden.

This ladder enables you to do the work alone instead of propping it precariously or getting someone to hold the bottom .Very sturdy . Good quality .

This ladder is very well built but the comprehensive instructions on health & safety issues stresses that it is not suitable for heavy industrial use. For a household garden it is ideal being light and sturdy. Unexpectedly there are no EU standards for tripod ladders. so, you need to be sure you are purchasing one suitable for your intended use.If you follow the instructions for positioning the ladder, it is very stable and gives the user lots of confidence.

Ordered this after reading other reviews. It is absolutely brilliant. Very very stable on both grass and a hard surface. I would thoroughly recommend getting one as it has helped me trim trees / hedges and save a considerable amount of money that would have gone to a Gardner.

I am so happy I can continue to cut my hedges in safety, and I can lift it easily despite being a small, very mature woman.

Really useful bit of kit if you trim hedges over 6 ft, wish I had bought one years ago, very light, easily to pick up with one hand. Fit 60 year old will now be cutting for years to come !!
