Danby DBC2760BLS 5.0 Cu. Ft. Silhouette Beverage Center - Black/Stainless

We purchased this model for a recent remodel and wanted the wine/ beverage separation. Cons first: It is CONSTANTLY running. It is pretty loud and is always cycling on and off. I am home a lot and hear it all day/ night. The doors pop open easily. I have three teenagers and the door very easily doesn't seal shut so you have to be VERY conscientious about closing it carefully. I walk by constantly to check it. The wine bottles are a very tight fit depending on the wine. Pros: nice to have the option of both wine and beverage with separate temperature controls. . Nice to be able to lock the doors (that is often my solution to the doors popping open). It does look good. I don't think I would buy this again and I would not recommend it. We have had a GE Profile Wine Fridge in a previous home that was very quiet, subtle, and attractive. Double the price, but in this case, I wish I had. I purchased the warranty and often wonder if I should exchange it. Perhaps I got a bad one?

When we got our fridge one of the hinges was bent so one of the doors was uneven and didn't stay closed. It took us a while to fix it. Once fixed everything worked fine. Cools great and looks nice!

Disappointed that the beverage side of the unit can not be set below 39 degrees.

Built-in model fit perfectly within our new kitchen remodel. Keeps red wind at our set point of 56 deg F and sodas, juice etc. at 38 deg F in the other compartment consistently. Keeps the main refrigerator can and bottle free. Love the blue light for ambiance lighting. No issues yet in terms of operability but used Discover CC to extend the warranty by one year free of charge just in case.

It stopped working only after 1 month of usage; just a few days more than the 30 day returned policy from the vendor. Now we're stuck with getting it serviced for repair. For this price, I was expecting a much better product quality. Also, we're buying almost everything from Amazon, but this may be the last appliance bought through them.

This is definitely the most beautiful product of this type on the market. I loved the removable and shelves, and the lighting, and the sleek design (Handles are small at the top and don't go down the full length like other fridges do). However, ours died after 6.5 years, which, after reading the other reviews, means we were actually pretty lucky. However, about two or so years ago we began experiencing problems with it. I would sometimes check it and the temperature would be off by a good 5-10 degrees from what it was set at. At one point it stopped cooling altogether, and for some reason I tried sliding it out a bit from the built in cabinet it was placed in, to get it a little further from the wall behind it, and then it started cooling again. Over this past weekend it stopped cooling altogether and I had a repairman come look at it and he told the compressor was shot and it would cost almost as much to fix it as it would to buy anew. I was worried about finding another unit that would fit into the custom built undercounter spot for this, but fortunately there are several options available. Unfortunately however, most of those other units also get poor reviews. It seems to me that these types of units are just not meant to last more than a few years, which means your basically paying $100-$200/year to have a refrigerator like this. That's still worth it to me, although I don't like it. Not sure why they can't build ones that last 10 years+. Anyways, after much searching I finally settled on a Titan unit that got the best reviews of every product I researched. If you want this Danby, just know it's a crap shoot. I now know that I was actually fortunate to have mine last a good 4 years with no problems, and then another two with sporadic behavior. Oh, also, this unit is very noisy. I have it under a bar in our living room, and when I sit there reading in the quiet of the night I can constantly hear this thing running, and it's not like a constant white-noise type of running that would OK, it's always changing modes and making different noises at different sound levels. The Titan I am replacing it with is supposedly much quieter. Fingers crossed...

Overall, love the look and functionality of the unit. I never noticed any issues with noise, as has been reported by others. But after 5 years, it no longer will cool below 59 degrees, which obviously is not cold enough for beer. For the cost, it should last at least 10 years.

I love that it locks both doors. Two sets of keys. Beautiful for soda beer water boost ensure. And 750ml bottles of anything you want. The shelves on both sides are removable so you can have cans on both sides if needed. It was definitely worth the money. So far no issues at all.I’m very pleased with my purchase.Thank you

Broken a lot of places out there. Such as door, the upper and lower hinges of the door, the back of the box.
