Just the job!
Our home WiFi is OK but susceptible to annoying dropouts due to interference from our close proximity to the Crystal Palace TV transmitter. So, this handy little adapter allows us to use a LAN ethernet connection on our new Fire TV 4K stick. It works a treat - every bit as well as the official Amazon alternative. However, with a worthwhile £6 cost saving....We now get uninterrupted films and football ⚽Delivery was next day and installation was a simple case of plugging it in.I am rather chuffed 😀 😊

Worked perfectly with Firestick 2; very happy
Used for Firestick 2, with which it worked perfectly. (Advice: Please check your device compatibility before purchasing).1- Comes with 2 separate 1 metre cables, which are NOT joined together as images may imply; one for power to it, and the other to power up your USB device (Firestick etc).2 - This provides flexibility to locate the block that needs to accept the RJ45 Ethernet cable where you wish.3 - No setup required, totally plug and play.I had to purchase a pair of powerline adaptors to connect to this, as the distance was too far from the router to use a direct Ethernet cable. Streaming is so quick and uninterrupted now. Very pleased.

Works great with chromecast
I bought a chromecast for my bedroom over a year ago as I was so impressed by the on in my living room. Unfortunately the signal strength upstairs isn't very good so it was practically useless. On an off chance I searched on amazon for an ethernet adapter and found this productI'm happy to say I can now stream TV to my chromecast using the adapter along with an ethernet cable (provided). Wish I had searched for this earlier!!!!

It's easy to install .
Quick and easy to install. Gives a good quick connection with a good HD picture with no buffering. But remember everything depends on a good Internet speed. I use my chromecast connected to a Streamlocator hub with no problems.

Saved me £20
My Chromecast suddenly stopped working. It was connecting to the WiFi (less than a foot away from the hub) but I couldn't see it in the Google Home app, could cast or play Stadia. Whether it's Google's fault or BT I don't know, either way it worked perfectly before and I didn't change any setting on either. The point being, I was going to get another Chromecast to see if the fault was with the device or the hub but then I saw this little kit and I thought I'd give it a try. The most difficult part turned out to be finding a spare plug with a USB port (it doesn't come with the kit and for that reason I should probably give it 4 stars but whatever) but once I've found one it worked within seconds. No issues with connectivity, great resolution, no lags in the games, I love it!

Easy to set up with a Firestick, messy to configure with Chromecast.
Does what it says on the box. To check it was using LAN, I switched off the WiFi at my router. The Amazon Fire stick was plug and play and worked fine. With Chromecast it has to be configured via an android first, meaning you probably need WiFi to set it up to work from LAN, which is messy but the fault of Chrome, not the adaptor, so I’ll give it 5 stars anyway.

This doesn't work
I connected it up to a Google chrome cast 1st generation..It seems to be working but I was still seeing WiFi connected on TV screen.I started to see same symptoms of poor connection appearing there and then as it was doing before connecting this up.I don't even see rj45 connection lights.. this is seems to let me know that it's not providing Internet over rj45I want refund or replacement don't know who to contact

Works with Roku Express 4K
I was getting wifi connection issues with my Roku Express 4K, which doesn't seem to like 5GHz signals. I thought this was worth a try as another reviewer said it had worked, and it's half the cost of the officially supported one. Immediately "Wired" showed up under "Network" with connection speed of 87Mbps, which is about the best you'd expect from 100baseT. Playback since has been solidNote that it will only work with the Express 4K, not the standard Express
