Kept the sand away and stayed in place through strong winds. Worked better than expected!

We were super excited about this blanket, but unfortunately it is truly NOT waterproof. It is (maybe?) water resistant, but after even 2 to 3 minutes on a damp surface, it is soaked through. We were hoping to use it on wet sandy beaches and on wet park grass and this won't work for either. We did like the material, size, and the construction seemed good. Unfortunately, it only gets 2 stars from us since the description was inaccurate (advertised as waterproof) and we're returning it.

We are going camping this summer and I needed an easy to wash blanket for Lassen’s volcanic ash. We have tried it out a couple of times in preparation and it’s a perfect size for what we need, grass or sand or (hopefully) volcanic ash. The material is very similar to the material in tents (I thought I saw that as a question), so it is both lightweight and stuffable. This is not a plushy or cushioned blanket, but those tend to pick up burrs and dirt way to easily to be practical. My toddler enjoyed being able to carry this as her contribution on our hike.

This is exactly what we were wanting and expecting, it appears to be made of high quality material and we expect it to last a long time. My wife has used it 3 times this year for beach trips and is very glad that we purchased it! Great product!
