Much smaller than expected
The actual ladle portion is very very small. This is more of a glorified mixing spoon than anything to serve things with. The silicone also attracts a lot of dust, and it's a bit sticky.

Another good product from StarPack
My wife has been using a ceramic dutch oven and a crock pot a lot lately and I noticed that our metal utensils were leaving light scratches in these pots. I got a StarPack silicone mixing spoon and spatula to solve this problem and was happy with them. I hesitated to get the ladle because it seemed too small and I thought the shape was odd. I finally bought it because I couldn't stand the sound of our metal ladle clanging in the dutch oven, slowly damaging the ceramic surface. Like most other StarPack silicone products, the ladle is one solid piece so it's easy to keep it clean. It's comfortable to hold and use. As I suspected, it is a bit small. Filling a soup bowl takes a few scoops with this ladle. Our metal ladle is large enough to fill a bowl in one scoop. The shape isn't the problem I expected it to be and is actually an advantage. The flatter front edge makes it easy to scrape things off the side of the pot, which you could never do with our metal ladle. This is another quality product from StarPack. If they make a larger version it will be perfect.

Perfect size
I have a large ladle but sometimes I just need something smaller. This is perfect. Handle length, oval bowl, so easy to clean….perfect.

Excellent small ladle holds 1/3 cup
What's not to love? StarPack products have never disappointed us in the past. We have a favorite small ladle made of steel that we love for sauces and gravy but didn't like using it with our non stick cookware. We purchased the small StarPack 1/3 cup ladle to replace it. This small ladle holds the exact same amount as our small steel ladle and we love it. Customer reviews that have complained about the small size did not read the description of the product or have no concept of measuring volume. This ladle holds 1/3 of a cup! IT IS NOT A SOUP LADLE! If you want a soup ladle, buy StarPack's 8oz. (1 cup) ladle. The handle of this ladle is long enough to prevent it from sliding down in to a sauce pan as well, which our small steel ladle was prone to do.

Almost flat side helps get bottom of pot
It works great. The nearly flat front of ladle helps you to scoop the last bit out of a pot. I only wish I’d bought the longer handled version. This size is good for smaller pots, though.

Good quality silicone
I replaced all my old utensils with new silicone. This was a good quality choice. So far it’s been used several times with no issues.

A Great Ladle is Hard to Find!
I have been wanting a silicone ladle for years. Couldn’t find exactly what I wanted. This is dishwasher safe, will last for years and is all one, solid piece. Has a good sized bowl for ladling.
