The best in combat boots. Remember to order a 1/2 sz smaller, like all true combat boots.
Outstanding pair of of military boots. I've worn many in USMC, and these are some of the best. Excellent quality! I ordered a half size smaller, as you should almost always do with military boots, and they fit perfect. Love the eyelets, very fast! I would put longer laces on them, however. The tongue is heavily padded like a basketball shoe, you don't normally find that in a regular combat boot, but these are intended to be a fast moving boot, designed for US Special Operations troops and are used by Marine Raiders. This Amazon version does NOT have the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor burned into the side, however, that the Marine Corps. requires for uniform wear, as this way other branches and civies may buy them. Highly Recommend.

bad quality !!!!!
I am very disappointed with the quality of the boots, one side of each boot heel is damaged, I only use them to walk and do some activities for the winter season. I bought them 2 years ago. ( used just 08 months)I was in the Air Force of El Salvador for 17 years and I always wear shoe bates for my service uniform and the uniform of the day and the boots for the flight uniform, I always felt very comfortable, happy and confident with your brand, that's why I don't believe the quality of your products today.Please do not buy it !!!ThanksRespectfullyOM

Bates M-8 Combat Boot.
Great boot. Fit well. Feels like a very solid boots. Just what I was looking for at a great price. I got it in record time and the packaging was appropriate. for the product. Great boot a great price. So far, I am very happy with them.

They are good run large and a bit heavy
Good boots overall, comfy right out of box. using them for US Army. They are complaint with new AR-670-1 regs as far as I know and have read. They are a bit heavy so if you are going to be running in them frequently then I don't know about that but for everything else I like them. Good ankle support and seem sturdy. They do run big I would get a 1/2-1 size smaller than you normally wear, at least for me they did.

Great boots!
I shopped hard and looked at a lot of desert tan boots before selecting these Bates M8's. Break in was less than a day and I can wear them all day as they are that comfy. One piece sole that rolls up at the heel and toe makes them more comfortably to walk in too. Oversized heel/base gives you some damn solid footing and the tread grip is second to none. I highly recommend these boots for someone in the military or for the guy that just loves boots! I cannot say enough nice things about them!

great boots!
i bought these boots a month before a 12 month deployment to Iraq. these are the only boots i wore during my whole tour. they are very comfortable and easy to break in. they were designed for the special forces, and have a unique tread which lets you run more efficiently than most boots (especially the standard issues). now that i'm back i use them for hunting in the rocky mountains. i am now ordering these pair for my next few years in my army career. note that these boots run big in size (I wear size 10 but i order these boots in men's 9s)

Great Right Out of the Box...
Really happy with this purchase. You can't go wrong with this brand. Well-constructed. Boot section is very comfortable. I needed longer laces but that’s a personal preference. I took the time to spray the boots with a weather protector because of the suede. Great product, price and delivery.

so far decent.
bought these while deployed. first not issued boot. theyre are comfortable compared to issued of course. provides more stability in ankle. a little higher that i'm use to. still breaking them in. the elastic holding the tongue is a little bothersome if not positioned right. did leave a bruise on my ankle due to rubbing and pressure. other than that it's been ok. fits as expected.
