Panasonic FZ150 - Works as Advertised
This (RW-221/L1 model) works as advertised with my Panasonic FZ150; all the possible features of the remote compatible with the cameras capabilities worked as they should. On Amazon the price of this fluctuates massively - I waited and 'intercepted' the decent/about the lowest sale price it goes down to of £15.85 (Nov 16); buy at the 'wrong' time and it can be as high as £22 !!!The only (self-inflicted !) issue I had was finding the input socket for the supplied cable on the camera body, as I thought it would be alongside the HDMI/USB sockets - it isn't !!! On the FZ150 the 'MIC/REMOTE' socket has it's own dedicated port under a small flap which is easily hidden by the camera strap - on the left side of the camera body, near the HDMI/USB socket area....The flap is a little rigid, but the small right-angled plug of the cable (NOT the straight plug at the other end, that fits into the receiver unit !) fits into the socket quite easily. For the FZ150, the only limitation to note is that as the camera has no 'BULB' capability, the remote setting for that feature results in a 'normal' single-shot selection. Finally, the hotshoe fitting is purely for stowage of the received unit - it makes no electrical connection, so can be left 'loose' if desired as the signal still gets to the camera receiver via the cable....

OK for the price but bulb function does not work on some cameras - Take note below re. the receiver/camera connection lead
I Bought this for my Panasonic FZ200. As stated by others on Amazon, the bulb function does not work on this camera and on some other cameras so ensure you check your specific model before buying. I am returning this item because the shutter release button on the transmitter was very loose and rattled a lot even with the slightest movement and it feels like something is missing from beneath the button such as a damper pad/seal. It may be that the item supplied to me has a manufacture defect or if others buyers experience the same problem then it is likely to be a poor design detail on the transmitter unit. However, the receiver has an identical button which was not loose and rattling so maybe it is a manufacture defect on my transmitter unit only. The instructions are not very helpful and I wasted sometime trying to work out why it would not work. I experienced the same problem as other purchasers who gave it less than 3 stars because they could not get it to work. All the lights worked as stated in the instruction diagrams including the shutter release indicators but still the shutter would not work. Via trial and error I finally worked out why it would not work and the reason is that the lead that connects the receiver to the camera body will only work one way. The correct way to connect this lead is with the straight jack plug connected to the receiver unit on the camera shoe and the 90 degree jack plug to the camera body. If you connect it the opposite way round it will not work. Other than this little issue, setup is pretty straight forward and quick.I am not to fussed about the Bulb function not working on my camera as i want to use this remote shutter release for Digiscoping. As others have already stated, it does have a cheap plastic feel to it, but for under £17 the quality is reflected in the price being paid. I intend to buy a replacement unit and hope that it does not have the same problem and will update this review accordingly once a replacement unit is received.

Works with Panasonic Lumix GX7 and good value subject to an important caveat
Bought this for my 2014 model Panasonic Lumix GX7. Overall I think that it is good value but not perfect. For me the main snag is that if you mount the receiver on the GX7's hotshoe then you can't swivel the viewfinder into the vertical position - and I like to use it that way when using a tripod, rather than use the LCD screen. But I would imagine that you would have the same problem with any remote that you mount on the hotshoe. I have tried using sticky tape to attach the receiver to a tripod leg but this is fiddly, especially if you want to adjust the tripod. The alternative is just to let the receiver dangle on the connector cable, which seems to work well enough in the short term but might result in some strain on the connectors eventually - also it can become disconnected if you are not careful. The remote seems to work perfectly for single shots, continuous shooting and bulb settings on the camera, also for the 1 fps mode offered by the remote itself but I have found that if I use exposure bracketing on the camera then the remote control doesn't quite work properly. I find that the first time I press the remote release button the camera takes a single shot and I have to press it a second time to take the plus and minus bracketing shots. It took me some time to work this out! I haven't experimented to see what happens if you set the camera up for a bracket of more than three shots. But I have accidentally stumbled across a solution of sorts for most situations. In addition to the one on the remote itself, the receiver that you mount on the camera has an alternative release button on the top. I find that if I press that then the bracketing works perfectly. So, as long as you can remain close to the camera you can use the receiver on its own as a cable release, just hold it in your hand rather than mount it on the camera. As the cable that comes with the remote is rather short, I recommend buying the longer coiled version that Pixel sell separately. All a bit spatchcock but it gets the job done!A final comment is that you need to know that the cable end with the angled pin connects t the camera- it won't work the other way round - but nothing in the user notes tells you that.
