The catcher slides smoothly, it's easy to dispose of the clippings.

These are sharp nail clippers that do the job admirably. One pair is traditionally curved whilst the other has a straight cutting edge. They also have a nifty nail catcher that you can slide forward while cutting to catch the offcut. This depends on you having nails small enough to cut with one action - my stubby fingers and thumbs didn't really work quite as well as my kids.At £10 whilst useful they are quite expensive for nail clippers hence the rating.

So as normal nail clippers, absolutely no complaints. Sharp and effective. Having a built in strip of nail file on the back of the handle is a nice idea and works fine, but metal files are emergency use only in my eye. So the real unique selling point is the “capture” system. It literally is a thin piece of metal that slides up towards the cutting end and then slides back down the handle. It works ok at some angles, but is completely useless at other angles, so its a gimmick and nothing more.

These Vogarb nail clippers are made from stainless steel and feel very sturdy indeed. The blades are nice and sharp, and they made quick work of trimming my nails.One thing I really like about these is the nail catcher because it's deep enough to collect all the clippings, keeping my bathroom floor clean and tidy … well, almost - some or the more acrobatic nail clipping managed to escape the nail trap and ping-off the side. I also like that this set includes both curved and straight clippers, giving me the flexibility to tackle any nail-trimming task.And let's not forget the little keyring loop. It's a simple but thoughtful addition that makes it easy to keep your clippers with you wherever you go. It’s thoughtful but I won’t be clipping my talons out in public, thanks.While nice and sharp, and they make a good attempt at collecting the clippings, they are quite average in terms of what they do, but the clippings tray gives them a bit of an edge so I rated them accordingly.

These are beautifully made, with a fantastic mechanism and very sharp cutting blades. The nail file bit, whilst small in area is nicely abrasive and does the job well. They're sharp and get the job done without any fuss. Plus, the catcher actually works, so no more hunting for nail clippings all over the place. Truly suitable for the entire family.

I was a bit gutted when I lost my GlossyEnd clippers but luckily found them on Amazon. Then I came across these Roog clippers, and after watching a few videos, I thought I’d give them a go. The nail catcher really does work! I also appreciated that they came in a lovely box. I was watching telly and clipped my nails, dropping a couple, but most stayed in the trap on my first try. The clippers work brilliantly, and I didn’t nip any of my fingers. They're nicely substantial, with a great weight to them. I love that! The trap lid doubles as the spring—watch a video, it all makes sense. The glass file works better than expected, too. It’s quite classy, like a personal pool cue—feels like a bit of luxury.
