Works great WHEN it's working...
I was so excited to get this. I thought it would be great to just every night while I'm watching TV before bed to just do a small area of my legs so eventually I wouldn't have to shave or epilate anymore. I've had professional electrolysis before on my eyebrows and even part of my lower leg towards the ankles. I was familiar with the process in general and how long it takes and what it feels like and how much pain is involved. So when I tied it out I was happy to see it's fairly simple to use and was working fine. I had a little difficulty at first inserting the needle into the follicle but it seems like it get's easier the more you practice. I had just finished 2 hairs when it stopped making the beeping sounds and I couldn't for the life of e get anything to feel like there was any electrical pulse. So I took the battery out tried a different battery (both were brand new batteries) it beeped again so I figured the battery was bad, did another hair then low and behold it stopped again. So I check the batteries in the battery tester and it says they are both fully charged. So I put one in and still no beeps. I have bent the needle a tiny bit so it's now got the tinyies of curves I figure maybe that's what's wrong. So I take out the spare needle that came with and change it out. Fully extended the needle just barely protrudes from the end of the pen. It's not long enough to reach inside a hair follicle at all. I test it against the testing plate on the box and it doesn't beep there either. So I go back to the other needle. Now I notice this needle doesn't even fully retract. It's so long that even whn fully contracted it won't go all the way in. I try reinserting the needles a dozen times with no better results on either. Same thing one doesn't fully retract one doesn't fully extend past the pen. So I give up and try to straighten the first needle and test it again and again removing and changing the battery. I had to ask for a return/refund. I'd love to get one that works for more than 3 hairs over it's lifespan but I'm not sure I feel comfortable ordering one again. I doubt it's quality especially after reading so many reviews about other peoples not working upon arrival or quiting shortly after using. Some of the reviews suggest people don't know what to expect from electrolysis or don't actually know how to use it but the ones that said it just doesn't even work indicate some problem with manufacturing I think. The good part it that the three hairs I did do have still not grown back suggesting it did kill the hair when working... if only it could have continued working for more than 3 hairs.

Hit or miss.
I like this product, however the use of salt water was a little cumbersome. The needles are not that sturdy and it requires a 9V battery. I've used it 3 times so far and have not quiet noticed a huge difference yet. Good lighting and a very magnified mirror is needed.

It worked for me
I have used this to treat some rogue hairs on my face and have been successful. The hairs are on my cheek bones above my beard line, nose tip, between my eyebrows and a single one on my ear. Many of them have not grown back in a month after first treatment. I treat every 1-2 weeks. Whatever does come back I have treated again and there is less to treat each time. It's more tedious than IPL for sure, but the success rate per treated hair seems good. Also you can be very precise with this.My technique is:Grind some salt in a mortar and pestle to get a fine salt powder, put it in a small container with filtered water. Get a small container and put rubbing alcohol in it. For the container I just use a two sided measuring spoon from my kitchen. Maybe an old contact lense case would work good too, just don't use it for contacts after. Clean my face, then use my fingers to spread rubbing alcohol on the follicles I'm going to treat. Dip and wisk the end of the electrolysis pen in the rubbing alcohol to clean it. Get in front of a well lit mirror and table. Make sure the tip of the electrode is perfectly straight and fully extended - - mine was a little curved at the end and needed straightening. Dip into the salt water solution the index finger that is on the hand that will hold the pen. Hold the pen on the plastic parts with your other fingers. Fully insert the electrode into the follicle to treat. Touch your salty index finger on the metal band to electrify the electrode. You will hear a buzzing for a few seconds, then a pause, then buzzing again. The pause means treatment for that follicle is done and you can move on to the next. Though for good measure sometimes I prolonged the treatment of each follicle for an additional 1-2 buzzes, I don't know if it's necessary. Maybe that's best reserved for stubborn hairs. You will see some white puss looking fluid come out of the follicle, supposedly that's lye, which kills the follicle. When done with all of your hairs for the session, take a pause before tweezing hairs and cleaning your face. Here is a good time to put away your tools, brush your teeth or whatever. Sanitize your probe with rubbing alcohol. Meanwhile this will give the lye time to work, let's say it's 5-10 minutes. Then you tweeze the hairs and clean your face. You can use your extra rubbing alcohol to wipe on your hair follicles to help sanitize them.Another tip, make sure your probe is fully in the follicle during the shock. The probe needle should dissappear inside, and your skin should not dimple inward from the probe pushing it down. Don't touch the skin with the probe sleeve/nozzle, but be very close. You can also use two hands to hold the probe for stability. Your dominant hand can hold the top part of the pen, and your other hand hold the tapered bottom part and brace the side of your hand against your face. I have shaky hands and this helped me to keep the probe in place. My nose tip hairs seemed to all die out in 1-2 treatments. Cheeks I started with a lot but each time it gets easier with less and less hair. That single ear hair was one and done. Between eyebrows, I started with a bit of a monobrow but it's getting very thin. Overall a success and I plan to continue to treat other areas in the future.

It WORK!!! Using it for 9 months now. Amazing Results! Not advanced make, but it works. UK.
It WORKS!!! It WORKS!!! Truly Godsend!!! I have been using it for 9 months now. Love it! It is resolving my problem. Most of the hair has gone now. Not regrown. But, new ones does come up though - few each time. Before, I used another equipment, laser, for 15 years every alternate day. No results. But now with this, once a week I am getting less and less hair on my chin. Same ones not regrown after few pull outs, You just need to know how to use it. You-Tube will teach you this. Pls Read on.Advice: Before purchase, go and watch You-Tube videos on “Clean and Easy.” Make sure they are from Clean and Easy. And, be prepared to see yucky pus (chyme) coming out of the skin pores. Watch each video a couple of times.Stylets are delicate and expensive to replace so make sure you learn the technic. You get one stylet with the equipment. Spares can be ordered. I am still using the first one. Now a slightly bent nib but it works. You will need these:1. Magnifying mirror 15x (10x okay too.) More magnification, the better, so you can see clearly where to place the stylet. Or, the stylet will break if it hits a hard surface.2. Tweezers - the tweezers the seller provides, is bulky and outdated!!! Stone Age type!!! And, we pay for it!!! This is why one less star.3. Cotton wool and Dettol - to clean the skin where unwanted hair is growing.4. Wide mouth cup for salt solution - you will dip your fingers in it.5. Table Salt.6. Square battery - 9V - best Duracell. (I keep the batteries in and connected. )I am still using the same first battery for nine months now.Warning: Be careful when removing the battery tabs. Pls see image above. They are fragile and can easily tear from the leather material attached. It is flimsy. Low grade make.7. A penny coin - to open the back cover. Another odd ancient method!!! - Not easy to open first time. Be prepared for this. Do not force it open or it will break. Need strong hands.Later, sellotape the coin at the back for future use. This is why one less star.8. Foundation (skin) cream to cover the pits it leaves behind.9. A spacious surface to lay out the equipment and accessories.10. A towel.11. Good lighting for UK.USE: Do use instruction manual. After turning dial on, open stylet and place it against the gold plate with salt solution on your finger tips. Pls see image. It makes a buzzing sound. It shows current is running.BUZZING SOUND:a). The buzzing sound may not work. Don’t panic. Salt debris collected in the stylet compartment. To open, push the stylet compartment outwards with care. Be warned, difficult to pull open the stylet compartment. Just use hands and not tools or you will break it. Clean the whole stylet with Dettol. Still not working, then it could be the battery.b). Also, possible, after completion, buzzing sound goes on continuously as long as battery is attached. Disconnect battery and clean the stylet compartment. May not work immediately. Put away with disconnected battery. Mine worked next time I used.c). When the stylet (used with salt on your finger tips) goes into the pore, it will make a buzzing sound. First time it buzzed all the way as long as the dial was on. Now buzzing sound only when in use. The buzzing sound can be muffled with a thick towel over it.AFTER USE:1. Stylet pen mouth gets clogged up. Open and close stylet several times in a cup of clean water. Do this each time after you finish. Or, the stylet will break/bend if the mouth of the stylet pen gets dry from debris.2. Also, clean the tweezers. Why use SALT solution? From Google: In hair removal, the electric current passes through a needle inserted into the hair follicle and chemically changes the salt and water in the skin to produce sodium hydroxide. Sodium hydroxide, commonly known as lye, is caustic enough to kill the cells that generate hair growth.Doctor:I even went to see my GP who sent me to a Dermatologist and they found a very small (1mm) cyst in my uterus. This caused facial hair growth. The cyst was too small for operation so I was told to use electrolysis. This is it. It WORKS! But first learn the technic and use a magnifying mirror. Cheers. Tricky to use at first but becomes easier
The first time I used this, I wanted to give up. It's quite hard to use but with practice you get used to it and the process becomes quicker. I've only used for a month so can't comment too much on results. I have fine hair, I insert the needle for 2 beeps and then tweeze the hair out. If the hair resists, then it needs another zap. The hair will glide out easily when done properly. You do end up with red dots though, which are quite unsightly, I'm thankful that I can wear a mask out and about to hide these!!The reason I give this a 3 star review is because I was sent a used item, it was dirty, bent needles , had no tweezers or manual. It's not right to send a used product of this nature...

Please read all... it a miracle.. but..
I waited about 1 month before write a review of this product hoping to have some positive results but unfortunately with this machine I did not have good experience.1: the first time that I use the machine was a bit difficult to make it work, I followed all the instruction but the electricity did not trip , after many try it started work.2: The needle was so thin that after few minute it bent, I could not use it so I took the second needle provided with the machine to finish the small section of my chin I was doing. the all took me like 40 min. (10 hairs removed)🕵️♂️🕵️♀️3:second time I tried to use the machine after 2 week, the only good needle I had felt out and I could not find it anywhere as it is so thin so I went back to use the bent needle but unfortunately few minute later it broke and part of the needle got stuck in my skin 😂.(please be careful)So from my experience I recommend to anyone who has excessive facial hair to go to a professional to get it done, save time, money and unnecessary scars because this machine is not at all comfortable to use, is not easy to see the pores of the skin to infiltrate the needle inside. for the price it could be better quality. I did not do even all my chin and I have to buy other needles already hopefully I will have some results on my chin and I will probably have to spend about 35 pound for maybe 3 set of needles as those needles seem to be mono-use. I have only few hairs on my chin that bother me so I thought it was going to be easy to remove😅during quarantine but I still have them after quarantine.anyway the delivery was fast ,got the parcel before the time💌.UPDATE 29-07-2020As you can read on my previous review I had some difficulties using this machine but I did not give up.After my first review, I decided to buy the needles and try again, otherwise I was going to waste the money invested in this machine. So I did one part of my chin the same day I got the needles and the other part I removed the hairs with a wax to see the difference in terms of regrowth.3 days later:The part made with electrolysis did not have regrowths yet but the other part made with the wax had regrowths as usual, so I used the electrolysis to remove the regrowths without tach the other side, guys it been about 2 weeks now, I did not remove any hair because I still have scars on my chin.RESULTS:My regrowths is so thin, I can't even feel it touching. For me this is like a miracle. As a woman I have been trying for so many years to deal with facial hair desperately, no matter what I use every 3 days my hairs were back.In the last 15 years this is the first time I did not remove facial hair on my chin for more than a week and I still confident going out.I choosed to don't delete my first review because I want others to learn from. it works but needs time, patience and practice.I almost want to apologise with the seller for my first review 😂😂.I recommend this product to all women out there with facial hair trouble 😭😭
