Not quite sure how I ran into this on Amazon, but I thought it was adorable and fun. I had also recently visited the UK and the historic nostalgia of the design had me sold. I chose the duck egg color because it matched jadite pieces in my kitchen. The jug is a good size, but I was disappointed in the quality of the glaze on the ceramic pitcher. It’s thin in places and has numerous dark flecks in the lighter color glaze. One of the main dark spots in the glaze is right on the pouring lip of the fish and the glaze is rough/thin at mouth corners. I will have to be careful to not put dark beverages in it that could stain it. I am kind of surprised given the price that that type of glaze defect made it thru quality control. The jug has to be filled a specific way to produce the “glug” sound, and just to be clear, you don’t hear the sound until after you have poured a few glasses. I still like the cute design overall, but given the price it should have a nice lustrous glaze and certainly no defects in prominent spots at the pouring spout.

The jug is great fun. It is pretty and the fun sound makes drinking more water motivating.

Love it! I am going to use it a lot. I needed a tall vase type thing to hold my scrub brushes next to my sink. I slip a towel through the tail. I use it as a fun container to water my plants. I don’t use pitchers often but it could be used for that also.

If your jug isn't making a strong Glug noise, it is because there is a manufacturing defect. The Glug noise occurs because of air transferring into the handle. However, due to the manufacturing defect, there is a pinhole at the top of the handle that allows air to escape. I received a replacement for my original purchase, and it had the same problem as the first. I suspect there's a bad batch out there. I'm attaching a picture of the issue. You can fill it up and put your finger over the hole, and it will work properly. If you fill it up with water above that level, and tip it to allow air in, you'll see air bubbles in the water when you tip it back up.
