Wind Spinners Outdoor – Metal Large Wind Spinner with Stake for Yard and Garden, Garden Wind Sculptures & Spinners, Ideal Gift for Family (13'' W x 70.5'' H)

This was an impulse purchase I made while shopping for a garden flag. This is more sophisticated than a flag and it will last longer. It's very soothing and pretty to look at in the garden. It is built with good quality but not super strong materials exactly. I was able to assemble it fairly easily. But in the past I have had total failures with this style of stake post (with bird feeders). So there was no way I was going to put the beautiful and delicate spinner onto that flimsy little stake pole that comes in multiple sections. Instead I used my very sturdy bird feeder pole, which fits into its very heavy and strong base (that sits on the ground). The bird feeder pole (Wild Birds Unlimited or a copy of that style - heavy duty) is hollow so the pole that the spinner is on slides right down into the bird feeder pole. Only problem was the lower section of spinner stopped spinning because the outer (bird feeder) pole was touching the spinner section. So I went to Home Depot and a guy helped me buy a cheap little plastic stopper thing that fits on the spinner pole and a simple circular clamp from the plumbing section - and there you go! Now the whole thing spins and is very solid on the base. Totally worth the cost and effort.

This is an absolutely stunning kinetic sculpture! It was easy to put together even though the directions were less than explicit, it was pretty intuitive. I love the way it looks in my yard, moving gently in the breeze, like a beautiful ballerina! Well worth the cost!

I've bought two of these for people after enjoying the first one so much. it really does look like a dancing ballerina and sways easily with any amount of wind. In one location, we get strong winds, so I don't take it to full height (colorado mountains). In the other location, the winds are less fierce and the spinner can be at the full height (tennessee river). They are good quality and mesmerizing to watch.

Very pretty, well made, fairly easy to assemble. Unique design.

Looks good and assembly is not too bad. I wish it spun at lower wind speeds. I was hoping it would detract birds from littering my patio.
