I’ve been wanting a weighted blanket for a long time but every version I had my eye on was upwards of $200. Finally a few weeks ago, I saw FatKidDeals tweet a link to this version with a coupon code. The reviews were mixed but the price was so low I figured it was worth a shot. I ordered my blanket and it arrived that same evening.The blanket arrived ready to go. It doesn’t require washing or anything. The company also sells a duvet cover separately (a few competitors do too) and I recommend looking into getting one so that you won’t have to worry about cleaning the blanket anytime soon.NOW ON TO THE IMPORTANT STUFF!I wrapped up in the blanket that first night and drifted off to sleep in about 15 minutes. I woke up TEN HOURS LATER. The following night, same thing. And every night after that for 4 wks I had no problem falling asleep and staying asleep. How has my life changed? Because I’m a longtime insomnia sufferer who also has anxiety and frequent sleep paralysis. I was afraid I’d have SP under this blanket and feel like I’m dying. I haven’t had any issues with SP because I’m sleeping deeper thru REM so my brain isn’t waking up while my body is still asleep. I no longer toss and turn at night. I wake up feeling refreshed every morning. I feel like a different person.You may experience vivid dreams. Don’t be alarmed! Vivid dreaming occurs during REM. If you usually toss & turn during that phase of sleep, you’re probably missing the vivid dreaming. I’ve been hearing a lot about weighted blankets lately. I’ve had anxiety for 25 years. It’s done nothing but get worse over time. I was pretty hesitant to spend money to try yet another “fix”. I am so glad I did. The past week has been the best sleep I’ve had in at least the last 10 years! I don’t think I’ve even gotten up to go to the restroom. I get hot really easy when I sleep. I even have to use one of those wonderful cooling pillows. I haven’t gotten overheated once with this blanket. I’m over the weight limit they say for the 15 pound blanket but I don’t think I could stand one any heavier. The 15 pound one is perfect. I don’t even know how to explain how much it actually helps. In addition to my anxiety I have restless leg syndrome as well. It helps that too. I highly recommend at least trying this blanket. Because it’s Amazon, you can always return it if you don’t like it. I don’t think you’ll need to use the return policy. I intend to find a carrying case for this because I’m never leaving to go anywhere without it. Sleeping is now one thing I can check off my list is no longer a problem. Thank you for making this wonderful blanket! I just can’t believe how affordable it is! ❤️

I bought a “throw size” for my weight and I love it. I washed it before using it on cold with mild detergent and Downey. I did put it in the dryer on a low setting and it took about 40 minutes to dry. It’s soft and it is extremely huggable! I would definitely buy this product again and for a gift as well. It is made great, so far no issues with bunching. Each square is stitched to hold the beads in place so the weight of the blanket is evenly distributed. While the blanket is heavy, it’s not overwhelming and does not cause additional heat. More of just a comfortable hug feeling. I would like to have this as a California King on my bed.Update: I did buy this for my king bed, haven’t received it as of yet, but am so looking forward to having it full time in my bed and using the smaller one on the couch.

I really am in love with this blanket. It is so cozy and warm. I have always loved being under heavy covers, when I sleep. Must be an insecurity thing. This blanket fulfills the heaviness, with being bulky. I also find it soothing. I have knee problems, and fold the blanket to be doubled on my knees, for a bit of extra weight, and it seems to ease the pain a bit. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a bit of cozy warmth.

I use this blanket year-round. I've always liked some type of coverage while sleeping, and the added pressure on my joints makes me so much more comfortable. There are a few things you should know before you purchase a weighted blanket- (1) you'll need a cover that you can throw in the washer, (2) if you toss and turn a lot, a weighted blanked could annoy you, and (3) it weighs 15lbs-- keep that in mind when you are changing the sheets or going to pack it in a linen closet for summer; grandma may need some help lifting.

I have had insomnia for about 10 years now and anxiety for about 20. I was looking for something that would help get me to sleep faster and keep me asleep and everyone with my issues swears by weighted blankets. Unfortunately it didn't work for me. It took me the same amount of time to fall asleep and I just end up waking up a few hours later drenched in sweat because I'm so hot with this blanket. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the blanket itself so I can't logically mark it down on stars, I'm just one of the few people it doesn't work for. It's well constructed and it's comforting to use. It just does nothing for my insomnia so I had to return.

This is made well, the beads or filling more or less stays put. I've had other weighted blankets that allowed all the beads to shift to one spot in the blanket in the night and the whole thing ended up completely useless in a few nights. Not this one! The fabric isn't the softest, but you should be sleeping with a sheet anyway, so I don't really notice it at all. I've slept noticably better, even in the hot Texas summer, because I get the security of a nice heavy blanket without roasting. In winter I'll just throw my regular duvet on top of this and be golden.

Used it for 2 months then was too hot in summer, so stored it (in original bag), got it out, used it again for another month, kept finding sand in the bed and it didnt feel heavy enough so Idecided to put it back in its bag and weigh it - my 7kg weighted blanket now weighs 6.7kgDisappointed

Bought it 2020 and have slept with it ever since. Can't sleep without it now actually. Since it's the small one, I often have it roll off me, so finally buying the bigger size. Great for anxiety.

The product is great - well made and washes easily.I haven't noticed any difference in my sleep which is what I was hoping for.

The blanket is fairly narrow and additionally the instructions suggest buying a cover (not included) to have the blanket last for it’s full warranty which I found misleading.
